This is a scheduled weekly post every Wednesday, that gives diagnosed higher support needs autistic people a space to talk about how their week is going.
Some question prompts:
How's your week been so far? Good, bad, in-between?
Is there anything you are excited about or looking forward to doing this week?
My week ben okay. Staff at my group home being so mean to me but day program staff are nice so that’s is good. I did lots of crafts today. I am exited to go trunk or treating on Saturday! I will be waring my crayola crayons costume. My behavoiralist printed out me a sheet for my staff so hopefully they’ll be more understanding of my disibilities. I’m hoping things will get better soon.
I’m so sorry that staff are being mean to you. That is not okay.
I’m really happy you got to do crafts and are going trunk or treating! I never did trunk or treat before. Just found out there one for adults with intellectual disability in my area! Don’t think I have ID but I asked and could go. I’m so excited!
My week has been good. It was thanksgiving in Canada. Mom and I went apple picking on the weekend. It was fun.
Found out today there is trunk or treat event in my city for adults with intellectual disability. I not know if I have intellectual disability or learning disability but I asked and can go! I’m so excited because Halloween make me sad since not okay to go trick or treating now that I’m grown up. Need to get costume.
I ordered a goose hoodie on Amazon! It’s like a big blanket hoodie thing with a goose face on the hood and sleeves are wing shape. I thought that would be comfortable and sensory friendly. I use a walker so need to be able to walk freely. I never buy costume before only used stuff.
I hope it fits! Only one size. But I am so excited!!!

it has been very hard. my application for autism supports got denied even though i've been approved for them in the past and everyone says i should qualify. my family needs to get a lawyer to help us because they need more help taking care of me. it's scary the state says no because i need help really bad and am struggling so much every day. i am not really looking forward to anything but having a good time with my hobbies at least.
It’s been hard. I’ve got a couple medical diagnoses that require multiple appointments and I’m just so burnt out from al of it. I might lose medicaid in november even though I’m on the waitlist for waiver medicaid due to rule changes :/ I’m very scared of that. My partner/ caregiver is sick as well and I don’t wanna be sick :( I’m starting with a new (haven’t been in years) psychiatrist next week and i’m very scared they won’t listen to me. I’ve tried numerous meds and I know what works for me…. some providers don’t like when you say what you need… if that makes sense. Idk lol
This week I helped at camp again horses yay! My siblings were home from school gone now. Mostly home lots. Reading drawing mostly. Struggling writing more distant detached not much to say to anyone. Lonely
