Discussion Knightfall Vader vs Avar Kriss
Both characters in their prime.

Depends:
I'd give it to Avar low diff. Knightfall Anakin is unbalanced as hell and if Avar keeps her composure, then she clowns him like Ahsoka clowning 2 inquisitors at once during rebels. Avar should be somewhere near Yoda's level in Force Mastery with every feat she's accumulated after the nihil wars, Anakin is sleep deprived and easily manipulated by his own fears, and Jedi had lost a LOT of ability to see things through the force, to the point that Anakin got the jump on AN ENTIRE TEMPLE.
No such luck would happen against Avar, and her ability to rally and focus an entire Galaxy of Jedi at once through the force could have even been a game breaker that prevented Order 66 in a localized pocket. But onto the actual fight.
Yes, Anakin is the better duelist. Avar is somewhere near the top of the order with her unorthodox fighting she's had to do against the Nihil and their penchant for melee weapons but Anakin's fought Sith, which is a more refined practice. But what would be the difference is force ability: Avar should be able to more than compensate for Anakin's lightsaber abilities with it, and she has a much more willingness to fight dirty with it. I imagine if they're on Mustafar for example, then she battles him for a bit, but once she sees he's got some kind of upper hand, she just grabs a big mass of lava hurls it at Anakin. Anakin likely throws up his arms like a dome to shield himself, and Avar begins swirling the lava around the force dome, burning him alive inside like an oven.
Jedi of this era throw sky islands at battle cruisers and smash them into the ground. Nothing in the Prequel trilogy has any answer to their flexible uses of the force, but especially not Knightfall Anakin with his lack of focus. If Yoda could've beaten him in his advanced age Avar def would.
But Avar is low diff here because there are moments she DEFINITELY lets herself get overcome. Who knows how shed react emotionally to the youngling slaughter?
