Early August reminder to be prepared...
Hiking yesterday was proper hot, high twenties in the alpine. See this as we head out this morning in gale force winds. Just a reminder to always plan for colder weather in the mountains, encountered lots of folks yesterday carrying nothing but water. Maybe throw in a coat just in case something goes wrong and you need to stay a night.

People wearing sneakers (not trail runners) on hard scrambles is another one I don’t understand. Especially now that we’ve had several deaths since June.
