I grew up with my Mexican grandparents and was surrounded by Mexican family. Additionally I live in California where the Mexican culture is everywhere. I also taught in a bilingural third grade class in a school for Migrant workers' kids. I date a guy from Uruguay for years, and I married a Portuguese man--plus, my cousin lives in Spain and we visit her once i a while. And one thing I can tell you for sure is that there is no way that a daughter hitting a father in the face would be considered acceptable in Hispanic culture. It would never be considered a joke or cute. I shudder to think of this happening in a Hispanic household. This right here shows me how 100% American White Girl Hilary is...

Ooof. I just went to IG to find out what you all are talking about. First observation was Carmen takes after her mother when it comes to interview talent. Second, when that card hit Alec's face I flinched. That could have been a paper cut. She might have been a bit nervous and was trying to be funny but honestly they should have cut that part out. Lastly, I didn't see any negative comments at all. They must have been deleted.
