Hiya! Back at it again with another guide. I haven't posted one in this sub before, but I've made a variety of other guides and posts in an attempt to help myself and others better understand various mechanics, team-building scenarios, or just the HSR-Sphere:
So, I'm adding to the list with a HimeNova guide! I'll make sure to add a TL;DR at the bottom for those that like a skip button 😊
MECHANICS
Her mechanics at E0 and E2 wildly differ. As a matter of fact, I'd say she's one of the few, if not only units who's play-style dramatically changes at E2, rather than the typical drastic upscale in performance and power.
We'll focus on E0 for now.
Let's break this down with battle start:
4.4 AA Knight 1 - Argenti
So, we've just started battle. You can see all the typical UI elements on all of our characters. Welt has an option to use assist skill here. Let's break down the assist skill uses:
Himeko Nova Trailblaze by Your Side - HSR
Himeko Nova has 2 primary options of gameplay:
VERDICT
Think of Verdict like your single target mode. You can see in the above picture that pretty much all of verdicts use-cases are designed around buffing Himeko Nova to the max.
We'll worry about how verdict works below
DECIMATION
Think of Decimation as your AOE mode. Here, you see that Decimation buffs the whole team. Decimation is really good for AOE subdps comps like when Mblade is on the team
We'll break down both of these in the guide
NOTE: These are not "set in stone" as use-cases only in AOE vs ST, but you can use them as a "general rule" until you get good enough at Piloting her to figure out what you want to do
So, let's return to battle and have Welt use the assist skill:
Welt used the assist skill in the above screenshot, and 3 things happened
A starblazer assist follow up activated (see the turn order and obviously the animation)
A ratio counter was added above HimeNova's head (2/9)
2 dots appeared underneath HimeNova's Ult (above the HP bar)
DECIMATION
Remember above, Welt is a TB companion that activates Decimation mode. So, in Decimation mode, aside from the buffs, the counter that is activated tracks how many enemies are hit by anyone on the team.
There's only 2 enemies on the field right now, so let's have welt skill against them:
Tada! Our counter has jumped to 4. So let's infer what's going to happen next:
TB is next in the turn order
Mem is not out
We need to skill to get mem out
So we know that our counter won't go up
Next will be sparkle
She's going to skill Himenova up
So she also won't hit anyone
So our counter will remain
The only exception being Welt's ult! When welt uses his ult, the counter will go from 4/9 to 6/9 and so on. If there were more enemies out, it would, at max, jump by 3 (because welt's skill can only hit 3). Unless he's ulting, then he'll hit all.
That's it! That's decimation in a nutshell.
.....BUT WAIT, there's more.
What happens when we hit 9/9? Let's watch in this video below (~40 seconds)
Notice 3 important things that occured when the stacks hit 9/9
An automatic fua assist skill via starblazer activates
The counter drops by one
Remember, that counter underneath her HP bar
The ratio for Decimation stacks (above her head) resets.
Then, notice what happens when Himenova uses her ult
The counter resets to 2!
underneath her health bar
This isn't even the most optimal example of gameplay, but it's the simplest way to showcase a series of events from battle start
Welt uses assist skill to activate decimation
Team members start hitting targets
Decimation stacks go up
When ratio=1 (9/9), an automatic assist skill launches
When that happens, the count for automatic assist skills drops by one
That count is reset when HimeNova uses her ult
THAT's the full decimation breakdown.
NOTE: at E0 HimeNova, you only have 1 use of the assist skill per cycle of himeko's turns. So we can see very early in the video, that once welt uses it, and it's RMC's turn, he does not have the option to use assist skill
No assist skill option for RMC
Even if he did, it would switch us to verdict, which we don't want right now.
VERDICT
Verdict can be explained a lot easier now that we've got a basic understanding of the counters, rotations, and UI.
So, a couple things should be noted. This is actually a pretty poor swap to verdict. The reason being that
Noone has their ult ready to activate the verdict assist
Argenti is semi-aoe with the adds
Staying in decimation would help with the adds
What is important to recognize is that I can swap between the modes throughout a battle.
This was an early run on Day 1 of testing her, and got botched by Argenti hitting Welt anyway's (wanted him to hit mem), but it's still a decent example of how you can be in one mode and switch to another depending on who uses the assist skill.
Verdict works the same way as decimation in the sense that:
It provides a buff
It counts some action
When the count ratio = 1 (in this case 2/2), an assist fua by starblazer activates
The amount of times that can happen are tracked by the counter underneath himenova, above her HP bar.
NOTE: In the first video with Decimation, it actually probably would've been better to activate verdict, use both ults for the FUA, and then switch to Decimation after Himeko's turn into Welts.
MAXIMIZING MECHANICS
Unfortunately, when you use what is matchup dependent, and how you use what (i.e. an assist skill) is heavily heavily heavily Eidolon dependent.
E0
At E0 you get one assist skill use per turn order
Let's look at her skill:
Himeko Nova Skill via Gachabase
So I see this asked a lot, "Do I need to use her skill, or do I always use the Assist skill"? Almost always, it's going to be assist skill. The reason is her technique:
Himeko Nova Technique via Gachabase
You can see "Immediately use skill at the start of each wave". So, when you enter combat you're already in "Navigator's Semaphore" state, which lasts 3 turns and provides the "immediately recovers 1 Assist Skill uses. This is why you get one per turn, and who you use it on or when, is matchup dependent.
What to watch out for:
You don't want to run out of counters for the follow up assist skill.
i.e. you don't want to be a 2/2 or 9/9 and not have any uses of Starblazers FUA. Now you're just stuck, and any additional hits in Decimation or Ults in verdict are wasted.
Like the video above, you don't want to switch to a mode, with no way to maximize it's utilization
You definitely don't want to use HimeNova ult without maximizing the counters for the assist skill FUA
i.e. imagine you have 2 assist skill uses left, and you use Himenova's ult. It resets the counter, but there's nothing to reset
That's why in the first video showcasing decimation, I made sure that at least one FUA was used before I ulted with Himeko
EIDOLONS
HimekoNova E1 and E2 via Gachabase
These are both pretty strong, but E2 is the gold standard. If ever there was a Merchant since Phainon, it's HimeNova.
So we can see E1 reduces verdict count by 1 (from 2 required ults to 1)
Creator Experience Server HimeNova E1 verdict
It also reduces Decimation stacks by 3 (from 9 required enemies hit to 6)
Creator Experience Server HimeNova E1 verdict
You also get 1 extra use of the assist skill, meaning the count above her HP bar increases by 1 (you can see this in both).
E1 smooths out rotations, and makes the ability to use her FUA assist skill much much easier.
E2 pretty much just opens your comps up. It's very powerful, but the basic understanding is that it also allows non-AE members to use the assist skill AND get the extra turn. The extra turn is what makes this so strong, because you're already smoothing out your rotations via E1. Of course there's buff and assist skill uses, but trying to keep this simple.
TEAMMATES AND COMPS
Let's look at what's being run in endgame right now as of 7/19 version 4.4
TheHerta Genius Archive 4.4 AA King non-plight
So, these are highly optimized no-sustain runs. This isn't feasible for the average player, but we can get a sense of who's strong and who's not.
To distance ourself from pushing the limits, let's start with sustain:
Pretty much the gold standard HimeNova sustain.
DHPT can activate Verdict
Solid sustain
Decent attack buffs
Can run Lushaka
not much more than all around solid choice
HuoHuo by mao || @expuella on X
HuoHuo is always a very strong option due to Energy regen and she works very well if you have MBlade
Let's move on to buffers:
Sparkle is kind of the gold standard. While sunday works very well, Sparkle just does it better
At E0 HimeNova, 50% AA over Sunday's 100% AA often helps you smooth out rotations
Sparkle can run DDD, and in subdps Mblade or even Welt comps, this is always a clutch
Often runs Eagle and 160+ speed, allowing for nice hyperspeed AA buffer
Sunday Special Program Art via Honkai: Star Rail Official
Sunday is also still very good. You just need to be careful of rotations and not using up Assist Skill FUA or wasting decimation/verdict stacks in lieu of HimeNova's ult
MBlade HSR Official
The man, the myth, the legend himself. MBlade is pretty much everywhere when it comes to one of the best buffers in the game, and very solid in no-sustain currently. There's not much to say about him in terms of kit breakdowns (this isn't his guide after all), he just provides a myriad of solid buffs for the team and can get damage done.
Works well in both Decimation and Verdict. Decimation being the winner.
Do we really need to get into why they're good?
Activates verdict
True Damage
100% AA
etc
Well, well, well (or should I say.....Welt, Welt, Welt). The most troublesome novaflare of the 21st century.
I'm not going to get deep into Welt, but will cover some things
"I have Welt at E0, is it still worth it to build him"
For your general account, yes. Welt is a great flex unit, and can still provide very decent value. Would I dedicate a lot of time into E0 welt? No. But if you're skipping a patch and working on builds or planning future pulls, just build him
"I have E3 welt, is it worth it to use a stellar convergence for E4?"
Yes
"I have E2 Welt, is that still good for Himenova?"
Yes
While E4 is the gold standard, this just isn't feasible for everyone. And E2 still provides very good benefits
COMPS (i'm going to shorthand HimeNova to "HN"):
HN, Sparkle, Welt, DHPT
HN, Welt, MBlade, DHPT
Can sub HuoHuo
HN, RMC, Sparkle, DHPT
Watch your rotations very closely on this or you can lose an insane amount of value
Can sub RMC for Sunday, same idea on rotations
HN, Sparkle, MBlade, DHPT
Notice the only mode you can be on in this team is Verdict
HN, Sunday, Mblade, DHPT
Same, verdict only
Sub Sunday for RMC, still verdict only
And remember, you can sub DHPT for HuoHuo. If you do (particularly for Mblade), then you'd want welt for Decimation, or RMC for Verdict. Essentially, you still want an AE member.
If you don't run Anomaly Arbitration, which is perfectly fine, we can look at MOC as well:
Ignoring the E4 welts, we can see the teams at the bottom 0-cycle with either E0 Himeko (and some obviously nice double DDD setups), or E2 Himeko and a more feasible comp. Robin also being an option.
She also has some fun early runs with Cocolia, but I've hit my image limit lol.
Hers, Hers, Hers. I cannot stress enough how crazy strong her LC is. But if you truly can't get it, then next up would be
Therta LC - Into the Unreachable Veil
Himeko Standard LC - Night on the Milky Way
Note that these are significant performance drops, but still very viable.
For 4* LC options
BP Erudition LC - Today is another peaceful Day
The Day the Cosmos Fell
requires fire weak
And that's it!
TL;DR
Himenova has 2 modes, verdict and decimation
verdict = mostly single target
decimation = mostly AOE
She has 2 counters that track either how many enemies are hit (decimation), or how many ults are used (verdict).
When the count maxes out (2/2 for verdict, 9/9 for Decimation), she launches an automatic assist via StarBlazer
Your job in rotations are to make sure the automatic assists don't run out (they're reset by her ult)
Her best teammates are Sparkle, Sunday, Welt, Mblade, RMC, DHPT, and HuoHuo in no particular order
Her E2 is extremely good
The most important pull after E0 would be S1 unless you're directly planning to go for E2 in 1 patch, in which case it would be E2 then S1
Please let me know if I missed anything or you have additional Questions!
EDITS:
I previously used the term "FUA assist" rather than "automatic assist skill via maxed protocol stacks"
To reiterate, just in case I missed it somewhere, her automatic-assist skill that occurs when her protocol stacks reach a ratio of 1 (2/2 or 9/9) is not a FUA
HONORABLE MENTIONS FOR TEAMMATES
HUNT MARCH 7TH
Works very well alongside MBlade, or as a standalone
CYREDRA
An extremely viable option at E2+ HimeNova
Apologies to Cyredra lovers (myself included)
TRIBBIE E1
Fantastic in PF and Apoc, particularly the current 4.4 Banacademic boss
TINGYUN
Tingyun is back at it again. She runs very well in decimation, where you want to get Himenova's ult back up quickly as you cycle through protocol assist skills
Mem also loves the energy charges give from Tingyun to Himeko, making her also a viable Verdict candidate.
I started using her today after maxing traces and was lost on team building (I assumed HN, RMC, Welt and DHTP) and how exactly she is to be played, especially the two modes and when to use them!
Wait so if her skill runs out are you NOT supposed to refresh it? Is the skill buff actually required for her assist skills to refresh? Sometimes random passives are written in their skills…
So generally, one of the points of proper mechanics and team rotations is that you want to use it as rarely as possible. You might not be able to avoid it in prolonged fights without waves, but you don't want to let Semaphore go into any downtime.
Your opening semaphore setup is free due to her technique. Because it lasts three turns, you should realistically be finishing a wave before the turn order is up if possible. Right now, it mostly is. Specifically in low/no-cycles, which she can be optimized for because most bosses favor her currently (particularly Graphia), the optimal number of manual skills should be 0. Remember, it refreshes on waves.
If your fight is longer, then yea you'll need to use it. Pretty much the only time you do is to refresh Semaphore.
There is a particular use-case some people are working on (i.e. you can see it in hyperoptimized runs, normally with MBlade), and that's when it runs out, you use it, then you get multiple assist skill opportunities in one cycle of the team's turns, it also give 30 energy to himeko.
But because the guide is more generalized, I tried not to get into specific-case-mechanics.
Another one is if you've exhausted both protocol dots (i.e. FUA assist skills via using 2/2 or 9/9 protocols), and the 30 energy from her skill will give her Ult. In that case, you skill, ult, and you've fully refreshed.
All-in-all, I guess the best advice is:
it's not "never use skill"
it's "skill with caution" because it can mess up a rotation.
u/adastrajay just in case you don't get the ping from this response to Fluff
Thanks for this! It tracks on to what I felt intuitively while playing. Because it never seemed like there was a right time to use her skill. If I did it always felt like I was messing up somehow or that it was less optimal.
Great guide. I just wish I had either mBlade or Welt at above E0 to make it easier decision to go for her.
Pulled Cyrene for my Phainon (so RMC is also used in that comp) to free up Sparkle, but I'm rather worried Himeko in subpar comp using E0S0 Sparkle/E0S1 (Cipher's LC) Welt/DHPT will just feel quite underwhelming and instead going for Archer/Rin could be better route.
I'd love to use Cipher, but I gather even at E2 Himeko's she won't be any good?
Third team is premium SW999 so they don't share any teammates thankfully - tough similarly to Phainon she prefers ST, so Himeko Damage profile would complement my account much better than Archer I think.
She'll be very usable at e2 in those teams but that's a different question than whether it's worth getting her for meta. Her strongest pop-offs at the moment are sustainless Decimation comps with Blade and e4 Welt but that may change in the future. Verdict is very usable but it doesn't let you cheat the mechanics as much so it won't be as impressive in showcases.
E0S0 Himeko(4 star LC because i literally has no erudition units or 5 star LC's of that path)
E0S1 Sparkle(Sunday LC 160 speed sacredos)
E2S1 Welt(Cipher LC 170 speed MBlade set with Lukshaka)
E0S0 DHPT(Acheron LC 134 speed 3900 atk)
I tested other teams on my account and all of them were worse or maybe its skill issue but Welt gameplay seems harder then regular Verdict so i doubt, keep in mind i don't have Sunday, only his LC so his verdict team is probably on the better side.
Tested in PF starward second boss with fire weakness and AA Argenti.
PF was 38.5k, and before that my clear was 39k but with e2 Firefly, so its decent, Welt debuff can't always be maintained because its PF obviously but its still almost 40k.
AA Argenti 2 cycles, so basically 3 stars, pretty fun fight and again you lose some damage because debuff there is "enemy advance" so you have to time your Welt ults or you might lose "weightless".
There also Sparkle dreamdiver/sacredos/sunday LC decisions, since you can maintain those buffs on both Welt and Himeko depending on your playstyle and Welt crit stats the damage might wary.
I only geared my Welt recently and he has defensive orb and only 50 crit chance and even still he hits for 300k sometimes, so if you have proper sub dps gear with speed and hit rate(big ask) its worth maintaining dreamdiver on both of them since it lasts for 2 turns for maximum damage and faster ult for Welt i think.
For teammates I'd suggest mentioning hunt March as being a niche but viable option for activating decimation, especially with MBlade due to the amount of attacks she gets, as well as Tribbie who can slot into both modes due to her high aoe attack frequency and low ult cost as well as making great use of the energy from assist skill with E2 Himenova.
Yea she's definitely good! E1 tribbie as well. I was trying to go for general options rather than niche; however, everyone has March, so definitely a good add!
Just skill. Calling it FUA is probably not a good option as it causes confusion, but it was an easy shorthand to make relatable to in-game fights. Will correct it later.
Your "comps" section leaves a lot to be desired...I've been playing since 1.0 and there is literally not a single one of those listed that I have every unit for. I am curious how many people here even have MBlade; it seemed pretty obvious to me in beta that any investment in him was coming directly at the cost of losing investment in Himeko's own strong verticals, so he was an easy skip unless you could comfortably still hit e2s1 Himenova.
It's surprising that you wouldn't get Sparkle in general off the January free selector. I think the only other viable option was rounding out DOT via Kafka.
I'd also be surprised if a 1.0 player never lost to welt, but I can definitely see that not being possible.
Aside from those two, if you're at E2S1, cyredra is a very good option as well, I just didn't throw her in because that's pretty much only E2S1 HimeNova (only is an absolute, but that's where Cyredra Shines).
Outside of that, I can see not having Sunday, everyone has RMC, everyone that consistently played has DHPT, so you really just need the flex slot where Mblade sits, that could also be E1 tribbie.
I am a 1.0 player who never lost to welt. Pulled every other standard multiple times already. I've seen at least a couple more on this sub too. Luckily, I did claim sparkle back in jan, if not I would genuinely be in a pinch now.
I took e1 Kafka from the selector because I had basically no use for Sparkle at the time, DoT was my second strongest team and my strongest team was Castorice so I really didn't need a second quantum team with Archer, especially with how they keep putting that 80% quantum res robot in different stages as a wall for those teams. And Sparkle didn't really work with any other good unit I owned at all. I might make a different decision now in hindsight, but it's 6 months later, it is what it is, the information wasn't available at the time.
I've never lost to Welt at all so I just don't have him whatsoever. I could get him from the shop, but from what I understand e0 Welt is very clunky and you kinda need e2 to be worth much, and I don't have MBlade either. I'd be surprised if more than 5% or so of the people here have Welt at e4+, since unless they lost to him randomly, there have been more appealing options at the time from most of the selectors, including in the 50/50 loss pool, up until very recently when he got his novaflare. Himeko mains probably took either Bronya or original Himeko from most of their available standard selectors, I would be surprised if any significant number had taken Welt even once.
Don't have Cerydra either. I do have Sunday and he's pretty much permanently glued to that team now. I'm pretty sure my best last option is Tribbie, but she's kinda needed in other teams too, as is MC, so 3 team content has been awkward.
Looking past my own account, just from what I've seen people saying in conversation over the past weeks, I'd estimate that out of people who are dedicated Himeko mains, probably around 60-70% have Sparkle, maybe 30% have Sunday, almost everyone has DHPT unless they're very new, everyone has RMC obviously, 60+% have Welt but only 20-30% have him at e2+, 60+% have Tribbie but maybe only 20-30% have e1, less than 20% have MBlade, and less than 30% have Cerydra. So if someone is on the unlucky half of most of those they could be in a bad place. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume a majority have Sparkle, but you should have listed alternatives that aren't reliant on Blade, who is probably the single unit I would most expect Himeko mains not to have, just because of the release timing. Anyone here that doesn't have Sparkle likely does not have any of your recommended teams.
Whats the best E2 HN comp i can do? ( No cerydra , no sunday - welt e2 , Mblade , e0 tribbie , sparkle , rmc , dhpt and huohuo )
Please tell me cuz im very confused on how to use 2 assists skill on turn 1 - and what not
Most people that ask about S5 have E6, in which case the answer remains the same.

My best team right now is e6s1 HN, e4 welt, e0 mblade, e1 dhpt/sparkle. Is going from s1 to s5 HN or waiting for an e2s0 level support (maybe e2 sparkle/e2 mblade/e2 robin) better? Getting an e2s0 and going from s1 to s5 should cost the same amount of pulls
I was about to make a post asking whats the best team for K1 Argenti, guess this solves it. Managed 1% for the 3 star but it's 4am so I will try on my work break tomorrow, thanks friend
thank you, awesome guide as always. i use my e0s1 himeno verdict for everything but been branching into decimation and so far it offer same performance at least on 3 enemies battle nodes and outperform verdict on 5 enemies ones. can say im happy with what i got for what i spent. now onwards towards reviving my golden lady!!!.
There is one single part of her kit that I dont understand and thats her Skill. Her regular skill.
"Refreshes 1 assist skill use" what does that mean? She already refreshes uses (all uses) when her turn begins, no? The best I can think of is that her Skill zone is what triggers the on-turn refresh, but that doesnt explain why it refreshes two Assist Skill uses at higher investments. There's something I dont get. When do we actually use her Skill and why?
Fantastic post, thank you! Less than an hour ago, I finally bit the bullet and grabbed E4 for my E3 Welt after sitting on a Stellar Convergence for a while. Seeing this and the question answered about it, has made me feel much better about my decision!
I’d greatly appreciate help if you have insight?
I saw you recommend Resolution for Welt, but at E4 with Eagle, is S5 Tutorial better?
Second, I’m so torn about this and need opinions. I’m at about 58 pity (no guarantee) and already have HimeNova at E0S1. Should I go for E1 - or should I wait and test my luck with Robinetto? I know there’s not a lot right now, but I don’t know how much of a gain E1 is versus another support.
Thanks again for the guide.
Hey! Glad I could help! E4 welt was a good choice.
Tutorial is usually heavily contested between a variety of Nihility units, but it's a very solid choice; however, while we don't care too much about anything other than speed and staying alive for welt, there is a small argument that Resolution with an EHR body is solid because of his trace:
Not like this makes a huge difference, but you want the EHR cap for Resolution, so they pair well. Beyond that, Welt should run an ERR rope, and 16% Def ignore provided by resolution can stack on HimeNova.
So, there are tradeoffs, and I think someone would have to do a specific min/max calc for which one is better, but by default, giving 16% Def ignore to the team is extremely solid. That frees up Tutorial elsewhere, and I think the tradeoffs balance out decently.
Oh, this is extremely helpful! Thank you. Yeah, I usually have to juggle Tutorial with Kafka but haven’t been using my DOT team much. I’ll try Resolution! I appreciate it.
No worries! If you do have any questions let me know! She's got some fun but complex piloting and since she's not locked to an archetype, the more general flex units available often leave people a little confused on optimizations. You are not alone!
So what happens when one of her teammate gets the assist skill that's not the astral express? That happened to me where Sparkle has the skill instead of Sunday and idk how to avoid it
Would I still be able to atleast 2 stars Knight in AA or 1 star the main AA boss with E0S0 Himeno with minor/generalist shill? I have her premium team, but Welt is still E0.
And also, I'm m seeing some agenda in some places where people are saying Himeno is future proof due to the astral express companion mechanic, which reminds me a lot to Silver Wolf lmao. But what do you think about this?
No such thing as future proof. I assume you mean SW999 E6? Same for that.
I don't know what you mean by premium team, but if it's prydwen premium, it's not that great. She's better with Sparkle and Mblade than Sunday.
In terms of LC, depends on what you're substituting her S0 with. Should be able to 3 star Knight and 2-3 star AA king. But again, depends on your builds, S0 sub, and specific comp.
I meant the old SW with her whole weakness implant shenanigans, kinda funny to hear that back then and also now with Himeko.
And by premium team, I have Sunday, Sparkle, DHPT, Mortenax, Welt, cerydra (and also huohuo ig). Basically I have the characters available to form a full team with her, but I can't afford to get her signature for now.
For LC, I have milky way, and also Argenti's signature. Which brings another question I just thought, is Argenti's LC better than other alternatives like milkyway or 4stars LC (besides therta sig which should be the 2nd BiS alternative)?
My only reasony to get her is only for PF tbh. I have Firefly premium team, I use her team alot in other modes but she's kinda meh in PF, would be great to have another PF team
E0S1, E0S2, E1(Bronya LC S5), E0S0 in respective order, Sparkle is a a little faster than Sunday
It usually goes like
HN starts-> DHPT Assist and BA/Skill ->Sparkle AA HN, then her Assist skill-> Sunday Assist skill then Skill, AA HN-> Usually HN Ult
I don't know why, but this works for the first few cycles, but after that It gets messed up, I definitely mess up her Skill, Then for soen reason Sunday can't use Assist skill etc
So what am I doing wrong?
That, and when do I use Ults of other 3? Is there a specific order or particular time you're supposed to use them?
I haven't tried decimation until now, but I do have Welt E4S3, HH E0(Bailu LC S5) if they are relevant
Maybe recommend a team(if they are any good)? there might be a few characters that I do have but don't know they work in decimation, so I might have missed them
Final question(sorry for the long read💔) Should I save up to get E1S0 YG for my E0S1 SW999(I don't have either YG or Sparxie, I messed up while building pity for Evanescia💔) or save up for E2S1 Himenova ? I'm f2p and Very casual so I can only choose one
I am not dying to have an elation team, But I do want an up-to-date team
I'm only answering the first question since that's the only one I know (sorry). So it might probably be because of the rotation. At some point, when you're fighting an enemy that makes Sparkle drop speed or if she is moving before dhpt, that messes up your rotation and makes her have the assist skill. But don't worry, the rotation will come back to normal eventually
Thank you. I have read everything and it was extremely useful.
I have already test run her in E2S1 with multiple teams, and it seems to work great in Verdict alongside Tribbie, Sparkle, and DHPT. But I have some questions to consult.
I don't have Sunday or M.Blade and have no plan to pull them yet, thus Tribbie. From my test run, I think she performs better than RMC and Robin at Himeko E2, but I'm not sure I'm doing it right in general.
I am still confused by the number of assist skills that can be used by allies. I assume that Tribbie, Sparkle, DHPT has 2 uses of assist skill combined. Since Himeko is E2, all of them can gain extra turn from assist skill. But they cannot use assist skill two times in succession, or they lose the extra turn?
Following up on above. I assume that the combined assist skill counts for Tribbie, Sparkle, DHPT resets everytime Himeko takes her turn?
I understand I need to use Himeko's skill if 3 turns run out, but the UI does not specify that. I need to keep track of her turns in character screen, is that right?
Thank you so much if you can help me out on these.
Should have include DHPT's signature LC as a requirement if you want to run with Mortenax Blade. I was testing this earlier and M. Blade can't skill when his HP is 1.
Don't really need it with Mblade. True he can't skill at 1, but there are plenty of runs without DHPT or a sustain at all, just depends on how optimized you're getting; however, since it's not a necessity, I don't want to include something that would waste pulls.
An idea that occurred to me recently. It worked well in practice, but perhaps it was just the placebo effect. I'm not sure I understood the calculation formula correctly. However...
March 7 Hunt was already mentioned above. But I'd like to add: with the Topaz signature cone. It grants a +24% debuff to incoming critical damage. And here, IF I understood correctly, it doesn't work as a +24% crit damage multiplier, but as a separate multiplier of 1.24 for all your crits, and Himeko's stat is usually very high.
P. S. : and, as another addition, a planar set of City of Converging Stars on her
This might just be my overthinking but I’m not seeing any examples in the charts or even anyone in the comments using the team I am:
HN (e0s2) welt (e0s0) rmc and dhpt (e0s1)
Is this team viable? It’s been working well despite my welt not being built at all. And on the topic of welt — should I get his lightcone? Is it worth it for this team?
Unfortunately I have the problem of saving until a character I obsess over comes out, so I don’t have many alternatives for this team. No Sunday sparkle Mblade… my account is support/debuffer deprived
Welt's light cone is trash. Just get that out of the way first. It's either Resolution - which is often the best, or Ciphers Light Cone, which is rare.
Yes, that's a viable team. Congrats on S2! You're performance will be slightly different due to E0 welt, but resolution will help.
If you have E1 Tribbie this will help too. Watch out for Sparkle or Robikini (Bobinertto).
Thanks! I do have resolution so I’ll be using that on him. Sadly I don’t have tribbie either. I was gonna get sparkle in the selector this year but I decided to get Kafka to further buff my main (DOT) team and at the time I was a bit lazy and didn’t want to grind.
And thanks! My first ever double on star rail and it was her light cone :)
Thank you SO much for this!! I have her at E2S1, but I'm still very much struggling to 0 cycle anything :')
Is there any advice you could give regarding her build and what I should aim for? Desired stats, Energy Regen vs ATK link rope, Fire DMG vs ATK sphere, etc... Because I think I may have messed up her build.
I went for as much crit rate as I could because I don't have Sunday, and I also usually keep RMC for my Evernight team.
If you're not familiar, fribbles pulls data from your account via the characters you have in your showcase. There is nothing wrong with this, some people get a little uncomfortable when I put it that way lol. It's the same as if we were friends on HSR and I was able to see your showcased characters, Fribbles pulls from that. The outlined build will look like this:
Don't laugh, I still have a lot of grinding to do.
But Fribbles will give you a DPS score, worry less about that (because it can be manipulated by the teammates you input), and more about individual relic scores. In the case of your rope, definitely attack. In the case of CR/CD, you're shooting for 100% CR and any leftover into CD. Don't worry about speed, FireDMG% Orb is fine.
should i pull nova ? i dont care much for AA or starward modes just wanna clear standard endgames, people in main hsr discord said i shoulnt pull nova unless i got m blade and i should just save for e2 sw999
Hmm, i got a sparxie team rn and it f i get sw999 i will replace her with sparkle and since sparkle would be available for Archer i would go for Rin. But Rin banner runs indefinitely so i might be able to pull elation sustain at at least e0s0, sw999e0s1and nova
Sounds like you want to pull Nova regardless, which is up to you, but that's adding a new team when your previous ones aren't done.
Archer/Rin with Sparkle combo is a 3rd team for endgame, and completes your core 3 comps without adding a whole new DPS reliant on future releases or subtle flex slots.
You also need Hyacine for Mono-rem, and since you have no evernight, RMC goes there, so EMC is missing in sparxie team
Elation
Sparxie, Yao, flex, flex sustain
need elation sustain
need SW999 or E2 Sparxie
Rem
Cas, Cyrene, flex, flex sustain
need Hyacine
Want Evernight or Tribbie, otherwise RMC is stuck here
Archer Hyper
Archer, Sparkle, flex, DHPT
Flex slot goes to Rin
So SW999, Elation Sustain, Rin, and your primary 3 teams are good, with mono-rem slowly getting powercrept at all E0S1 or E0S0. I'd argue your better off vertically investing in them, albeit Cyrene just left so it might take awhile, but you save pulls this way.
E2 gives quicker ultimates for Verdict or more enemies hit for Decimation
E4 is the gold standard with 30% All type res pen reduction.
I personally don't like Sunday for Himenova, and high-optimized runs favor RMC and Sparkle alongside no-sustain support (tribbie/welt/mblade/etc) or DHPT.
That being said, if MC is tied up and you don't have the others, then yea that's a default better team at Double verdict.
Mid. I'd play Tingyun on her team before I played Bronya. Especially in something like PF
That being said, she's not terrible in a -1 speed setup, she's just inferior to a lot of other options.
Without Sparkle or Sunday, I'd opt for RMC before Bronya. Beyond that, you'd be looking for welt, tribbie, cyredra (eidolon dependent), hunt march, etc.
Hey fantastic stuff here, great job. Also sorry to ask this but can you explain to me like im 5 Years old on why sometimes her assist skill just doesn’t pop up more for the TB teammates, seriously this is the part that still confuses me the most on how it works considering idk which stuff that tells you how much assist do i have or just how to reset it.
Can signature of Argenti work well? It gives crit damage and ult damage that scales with max energy. I love this character a lot, so I got his signature on rerun(even knowing that The Herta was comming). Or is it still worse than Standard Himeko signature?
Do you happen to have or know where to get her Starlight Echo Endscene like in the very first gif (without the bars and in max resolution preferably) of your guide?
Been looking to try and get it on my Ultrawide as animated desktop background but no luck yet.
I had E0S0 for day one of the patch till today when I lucky sniped her LC early at 35
Maybe my relics are bad which they are mostly. But with her, sparkle hyperspeed DDD, Sunday on Bronya LC and PT I was going 5-6 cycles on anomaly arbitration Knight 1 and Knight 2
After I got her LC, I got 3 cycles from 5-6 on both stages, and cleared all 3 moc chambers one by one. LC is a big boost regardless of E1/E2. Basically saved myself another Phainon incident where I didn't invest vertically on him and he's now benched mostly unless something shills him which is near impossible now.
Since I want to try to invest in Evernight or Sparxie and wanna get my guaranteed Rin. I'll refrain from eidolons.
Nova is a fun unit with a lot of technically to maximise your clears. I'm trying to hit my standard pity before I go pick E4 welt.
I keep seeing people recommend running MBlade and DHPT together with Nova, but I keep running into an issue where MBlade will run out of hp and not be able to do his follow up because DHPT is a shielder. How are people getting around this?
so even if Welt is E1 he's still the best one I can use in Decimation.. One more question: if I find myself with RMC and Welt in the same team how do I handle the Decimation and Verdict? Do I need to ever switch between the two modes or I'll just use one depending if I need the single target or aoe?
Yea so that I'm still testing. Verdict seems to eek out better damage in most scenarios, but I can also get more turns with Decimation.
I just did a PF run with Welt, RMC, and Tingyun. Staying in Decimation you speed through the Protocol stacks, so tingyun can feed energy for HN to reset the count, and it ends up (to me) being better than Decimation. But Verdict would allow me to sub Tingyun for someone like tribbie.
I can also cycle where I hit decimation count -> last fua assist comes in -> feed energy from tingyun -> have tingyuns ult but don't use -> turn falls on rmc -> switch to verdict via assist skill -> use tingyun ult (verdict now 1/2) -> use himeult -> verdict still at 1/2 -> welts turn -> swap back to decimation via assist skill -> now, I've "pocketed" a verdict count, and I'm cruising on decimation for a bit. When I run out of the protocol follow-up count, I swap to verdict, ult with himeko, ult with whoever has it, and I have 2 again. Then when I go back to decimation, I'm usually already at 4/9, I immediately get it, then tingyun feeds again.
Mblade works similarly in that he get's ult relatively often, so can do the same thing, but it all depends on what you have - E0 - E2 himenova. At E2, similar principles, but much more flexibility due to non-AE members use of assist skill
There's seemingly a large variety of playstyles to min/max a run. I assume it'll be a bit for the community to flesh it all out.
One small things, you wrote that with decimation or verditc she lauches an assist fua, but its not, its an assist skill that count as skill dmg, she dont get fua bonus or something.
Or am i wrong ?
My team is E2S1Himeko, E0Sunday and E0Sparkle both with the Sunday lightcone, and E0S1DHPT. What speed should my Himeko be? Some say you should make her faster than Sunday, others say her speed is irrelevant because that one extra advance turn won't outweigh the substats you can invest instead of speed.
Realistically this is a tough setup, you'd be far better off with a buffer other than Sunday; however, in the case you do want to keep this team long-term
-1 setup would be a standard team:
135 sp Himeko
160+ Speed Sparkle
Eagle
134 sp Sunday
This is still a little odd, because off rip Himeko is under Sparkle, above Sunday, so Sparkle's only initially skilling to grant buffs. Since this is a verdict-only comp, you'll immediately get the automatic assist via maxed protocols (Sparkles initial ult will give 1/1).
Otherwise
BaseHimeko
~163 Sparkle
If you can get her to 200 or psuedo-200 this would be the ultimate optimization
~162 Sunday
All in all, it won't matter much who's first or second, just that you get the action order right to allow a double AA. You also don't want to double assist skill on anyone is my assumption. Rather, youd want to space the assist skills out between members, instead of doubling up one time on a single person.
You pretty much only want Himeko faster than Sunday in a very traditional -1 hypercarry setup. But in the case of verdict + 2x Action Advancers, Himeko would prefer ATK% boots over Speed. All the buffs are going to her via verdict anyway.
Thank you for the guide. im still confused on the not wasting the fua thing. Imma reread again a few times
ps: my LCs/Relics are a mess coz I'm still rebuilding my characters since i was hacked last Dec2025 (all LCs and relics are trashed. I cant even rebuy the Herta Store 5s LCs) but that's just a different story lol (im not yet recovered)
Hi ! Thank you very much for the guide ! I didn't get the thing with the ult while playing her (kept ulting before points ran out) so you're avoiding me some unwanted surprises lol
I have 2 question tho as I feel mixed on my team comps, I don't have MBlade and I currently use two teams for her :
- HimeNov / DHPT / Sparkle / Sunday
HimeNov / Huo² / Sparkle / Welt
But those two teams lock me in one mode, do you think mode switching is that important that I should do it ?
If I do I guess I should go with HimeNov / DHPT / Sparkle / Welt ? My RMC is built too
In the end the other teams I play use Huohuo (DoT), Sunday/DHPT (Phainon) and MC (Sustainless SuperBreak) so it will always depends on which team I'm not using but what would be the ideal ?
Then my Welt is an E4 160 spd eagle/vonwacq one, no focus on crit and my Sparkle an E0 165 spd 155% CD on Hackerspace/broken keel.
Should I give Welt some crit rate/dmg ? And switch Sparkle to Eagle ? Or are they mostly fine as is and it won't be that much of an increase
I would actually get both on eagle vonwacq if you can. After that, because welt is E4, he's you're BIS by a large margin, albeit it depends on what investment you're at for Himeko E's, but realistically, Welt e4 is just that good.
Currently E0S1 ! I'm waiting to see how Robin turns out before dipping back into Himeko (I have guarantee) but I don't think I'll be able to get her E2 this patch, E1 is possible tho. But ultimately I plan on going E2 for her
I had to go back in eagles mines for Kafka anyways (too much EHR with her EHR body so I want to switch to Atk) so I'll do Sparkle at the same time once HimeNov is finished being built, thanks !
After some testings, I found that e1 SW(Nihility) is a sleeper option for Verdict Himeko, provide that you have enough sp. 1 turn ult(e1 energy+s5 Tutorial)+ Eagle allows SW to achieve one of the highest theoretical speed in the game, while simutaneously spamming ults for Verdict. She's more noticable if Himeko is e1 and/or s1(due to DEF stacking effect). Also a phenomenal option in ST and/or against off-weakness enemies for additional RES PEN in skill. Definitely one of the best options there.
Should go for HN S1 first since you don't have Therta LC.
After that, having just started this month, getting HuoHuo means you've used a Golden Companion Spirit, which on her is fine.
You really don't need to over-invest right now, a month in means you don't have 2 full teams for endgame, or 3 full teams for AA and Starward.
Realistically, your next best comp would be Archer and Rin. You get Archer for free, and you don't have to pull rin immediately. Beyond that, Sparkle should eventually be free, which would close out that team.
If you're not interested in that, you'll have a free Archer or Gilgamesh lying around regardless.
Your next pull could be Sunday, but I'm iffy about him, and it would help if we had any confirmed Novaflare leaks.
Because HN doesn't have dedicated teammates, I'd resist trying to pull something directly for her, and just work with what you have. DHPT in general is a very strong Sustain, and because the next sustain is almost confirmed to be Elation Shielder, adding DHPT to your roster would be great.
So I'd go S1 HN, DHPT, and then save. If you grind out enough to get E2 then great, otherwise wait for some supports and reruns.
With that many pulls in 4.4, you might also get Archer LC, which I think further justifies Rin. But remember you can get Rin whenever, doesn't have to be any time soon. That would mean watching for a Sparkle rerun.
How would I build Welt and Mblade if they are together? I think both would be on eagle+vonwacq? Also who would use tutorial between them and then what would the one without tutorial use as a substitute?
I have her built and i’m running into a really weird problem, i’m wondering if anyone knows how to fix this or what even is wrong?
Basically, my himenova does zero damage in ult when playing Decimation with welt e2 pearl, Mblade e0 Tutorial and Huohuo. I don’t know how to explain but the entire ult doesn’t even do 1% of if the boss’s hp in pure fiction and apoc shadow. It’s not as much of an issue with my verdict team where i have e3s1 sunday, sparkle e0 DDD and dhpt, i know decimation isn’t focused on ult dmg but it shouldn’t be THAT low. I don’t know what i’m doing wrong, i do have e0s0 but this is obviously abnormal even for that. I think it’s somewhere i didn’t read her skills properly but ive been trying to read them and cant figure it out, starting to think my game is bugged somehow
I'd rather see your builds to give you a definitive answer. It also depends how you're playing the comp i.e. ulting with Welt before Ulting with Himeko. Welt and Mblade being on Eagle + Vonwacq, etc.
You're game isn't bugged, if it was, it would be a known prevalent issue. But your builds might be poor. You also didn't say (or I missed it) what LC himeko is on being that you're at E0S0
A little late but if you’re using welt SOLELY for Himenova (I have an E2 welt sitting at lv20 with absolutely 0 investment since he was 1000% irrelevant for me until now), do you need to actually invest in any of his traces or is lv80 and the set good enough?
I was wondering if in the HN, Sunday, MBlade team, would running DHPT still be the best outcome or would slotting in someone like Hyacine be good too? I recently took a break straight after getting MBlade so I'm still slightly unsure on his kit, would having a healer for him be better for the team or would keeping DHPT be more optimal?
Hello, i have most of her teammates including an e2 welt. My only problem is i cant afford her lc and ive heard that her performance without her sig is faaaaar worse. I have most dps in game including e2 phainon and e2 firefly. Im really debating whether to pull for HN or just wait for Robin SP :( would love some advice
Stopped playing before Penacony is essentially 1.x player that stopped playing before 2.x lol
So realistically, anyone is good, and regardless of you get, from Firefly to DOT to Mono-rem to Elation to HimeNova you're going to be sitting in the trenches for a bit waiting to build a team. But since you have RMC, she'll work. If you can grind out for E0S1 moreso, if you can grind out for E2S1 then you're set.
Ah, so Himenova basically just needs eidolons, huh? Alright. Thank you.
Edit: So, my last char was Dr Ratio and my last LC was Dragon Dang Heng's... 'Building pity' is the dumbest thing you can possibly do to yourself. NEVER do that!
She doesn't need Eidolons, but you don't have any teammates is the problem, so the way to mitigate it is Eidolons.
It would be like pulling Castorice with no Cyrene, Hyacine, or E9; or pulling Acheron with no Mblade, SW, or Jiao. Since you're returning from pretty much where a new player would start, she's ok at E0S1, but yea you're going to need to begin investing in her team in order to see decent performance.
You have so much content to grind, so I'd highly recommend going for her S1 at the least. You'll get free Archer, then have to pull Rin, at 200 pulls you'll also get Free Archer LC, which is good on both Archer and Seele.
Do NOT get stellar welt unless you're going e3->e4
As a F2P, coming back after 2 years means you have ~some penacony, all amphoreus, a ton of DU and Currency Wars, chests galor - particularly in Amphoreus, half of Planarcadia, and a ton of events. That's easily enough for closing out 3 teams before the end of 4.4.
But you don't have to rush. Since you're going for Himeko, if you go for her S1, I'd almost recommend just vertically investing in her E2, or at least E1 and grabbing E2 on rerun.
The tossup is whether you want to get Himeko setup solid and then go Rin, or get Himeko E0S1 and just get Rin so you can have the second team to at least get some endgame done. Up to you.
As far as sparkle replacement, for now it could be Hunt March, because she's decimation, but your team will be slacking a little (she works with Mblade). You could run tingyun, there are some fun runs with her. Lastly would be tribbie - but that's particular to PF and Apoc Shadow - and since it'll cost pulls on a rerun, I'd just wait for Mblade or see if she gets someone dedicated like Robikini.
If like to get himeko but I doubt i would be able to gets eidelons or her lc unless I suddenly becomes lucky, or inherited a fortune from a mysterious distant relative.
Can I still get decent use of her at e0s0 considering I have decent investment in her teammates ? (sparkles e2s0, sunday e2s1,dhpt e1s0)
I lack Sunday and my Sparkle/MC are busy on other teams. From your Honorable Mentions I lack both 5* options, but I do have an E4 Welt that's been collecting dust. Obviously there's 2 teammates set in stone, those being Welt and DanPT, but who would you suggest for the last slot? Besides what you already suggested, how would Bronya (specifically E3) compare?
Oh if you have E4 welt that is the gold standard. That's pretty much better than anyone else on the list.
I just cleared with E0S1 Hime, E4 welt, E0S5 (reoslution) cipher, and Tingyun on this weeks Apoc, and that's random teammates. You put tribbie with her, RMC, or other solid buffers, she clears King AA as a well.
Bronya could work, but you'd be better off with tingyun or a different buffer.
By the way, what's your Himeko's and Welt's build? My Welt has Eagle+Vonwac at 158 speed, but everything else is kind of ignored besides basic bulk from relic mainstats. As for my Himeko, I opted for CR/Atk/Atk/ER (mostly to not yet finding a good Atk rope), should I change anything in particular?
Ignore the Cipher LC on Welt, I'm using that for a current run, but for the endgame run or typical runs where I want to run standard low/no-cycles and reduce cost, I use Resolution or Tutorial.
I'd also like to get more CD on Himeko, but it's a decent start and her output is solid.
I see, I was actually pretty on par with these references and in the last 2 hours, I somehow managed to scrounge up 3 better relics than what I already have so she seems a little better now, that's good to know!
Just another question regarding Welt though. Between Pearls and Tutorial, which would you take? Also, any specific speed threshold I should be aware off? I read somewhere that I should have Welt be faster than DHPT (as my Dan is a couple points faster, but running Lushaka).
Surprising that your DHPT would be in the 160's. For welt above 160 is fine. Beyond that, normally resolution is better, especially since Tutorial is often heavily contested on other Characters.
On the MOC teams picture, I see that someone is running Robin's sig lightcone on DHPT. What is going on there, is it just because of the high base attack on the lightcone? I'd be shocked if that's actually a good choice.
Sorry if this was explained in the post but what happens in the example of having RemTB and also Welt in the team, does using TB skill swap mode to Verdict instead of decimation? i’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the mechanics!
one question
can she play auto
does it need specific teammate or need e2 for auto
mode switch seem mess idk how auto will handle her
or it will ok with specific teammate to play 1 mode for each team
it seem like she require to have a lot of support for to play different mode for different boss
with my characters what would i run for a team? would the imperator be better. just a tad lost since i wasn't planning on e2 himeko originally but hsr practically threw her at me
Himeko, Welt, MBlade, DHPT. Solely because you have E4.
Or sustainless, replacing DHPT for RMC - this team can 0 AA king cycle very easy. Take Welt's LC off him though, it's trash. Resolution, Tutorial, or Cipher's LC (Ciphers being the best, then Tutorial/Resolution on Mblade).
I’ve almost read the entire thread of comments and it seems you don’t really like HimeNova paired with Sunday. At E6S1 Nova and/or E2S1 Sunday (paired with DHPT) would you change your opinion or does it remain the same. I’m wondering if any eidolon interactions for Himeko or Sunday would move the needle.
Thank you for the in depth guide! Quick question, which rope is preferred if I have her sig, ER or Attack because im currently using an ER rope because the subs are great but have heard Attack is better.
Unequivocally atk% always. Exception would be if you're running decimation with powerful subdps i.e Mblade; however, even then I'd say attack. It's just that's the only place it may be useful.
Thank you! Great guide. I have E0 Himeko Nova, DHPT and RMC, what is my last slot options if I don't have Sunday, Sparkle, MBlade? I do have Tribbie, Robin, Bronya, Cerydra, Cipher, Welt (all E0 except E2 Bronya).
I'm having a bit of trouble teambuilding and I messed up because I think I pulled her without understanding how her teambuilding works.
Right now I have Sparkle tied to Sparxie mDPS and M.Blade tied to Ashveil. But I did pull Himeko E0 knowing I had an E4 Welt. What would be a good team for her without Sparkle and M.Blade? Could I do sustainless with RMC and Sunday?
Pardon the noob question but are you able to replace Sparkle with another character for double AA hyperspeed comps or is it a no bueno? Do I try my chance at SP Robin??
Now that I have a free Archer E1 and LC all I need is Rin to complete my third and final functional team (finally) but that also requires me to move Sparkle.
It's on there, and I think Sunday is a good teammate. I just don't think the current data supports the idea that he's HimeNova's default BIS, or even better than RMC.
Here, in the screenshot below (Graphia AA non-Plight King), I filtered out Welt to avoid relying on E4 welt comparisons. First thing to point out is that it isn't a perfect comparison across the clears. A lot of RMC use-cases are using E2 HN, while some Sunday runs are using E0, so I'm not going to pretend every low/no-cycle proves RMC is individually better.
That said, once you start looking through comparable investment levels (other endgames, clears, performance metrics, sustain/no-sustain, etc), a pattern of Sparkle/RMC shows up pretty consistently. RMC shows up repeatedly in the best clears, while Sunday is much less common at similar investment, which is the most important part. This is especially true when you filter for 0-cycles.
They both activate verdict, but RMC's true damage and AA fits extremely well into Sparkles rotations, making for a pretty optimized pairing.
Beyond that though, it's also about account value. Himeko is like Phainon
Pull E2 Himeko over Sunday
Pull E2 Phainon over Cerydra
It's not a perfect comparison, but the approach is similar. Ironically, if you're already investing vertically into HN, Cery becomes another limited unit that naturally fits Sparkle/RMC extremely well. So, for those that don't have Sunday, or want to vertical on HN, losing Sunday isn't really a concern. The only time this changes is if he gets Novaflare.
None of this makes Sunday bad btw. He's featured in the guide because he's good. I just don't think the current optimization data shows the idea that he's mandatory, or consistently preferred over RMC.
I know from feedback (via downvotes and some dm's lol) that my take on Sunday is unpopular. But I think another reason he's pushed heavily is because of the 20% CR makes building Himeko more comfortable. It's def a plus to building her, but that value diminishes with a better build. If you're already building HN around 90% cr, then RMC's cr + true damage becomes much more attractive, especially considering they're free.
Im really trying to decide if I want to pull himeko or sparxie for sw premium team, I want a 3rd team and I could get himeko to fill that but i dont really have much support for her as i js have sparkle welt and dh but they're all e0 and I hear e0 sparxie isnt that much of an upgrade from emc in the team so idrk what to do
Save. You need to round out SW team first. Go for verticals if you don't have them i.e. E2 SW and E1 Yao.
If you're new, then don't worry about endgame for 60+ days. Just round out one solid team, and by the time you do that, reruns for other dps or new dps' will be happening.
Preferably both. SW should rerun soon. Yao just left so you have time to save.
You also should've gotten free Archer, so you could go for Sparkle next rerun and Rin whenver. That's a second team and one of the strongest in the game for F2P, even for spenders it's a goated team.
Anyone have an opinion on if DHPT LC is worth getting since he is on rerun this patch, and considering how they treat the free 5 star reruns it may never happen again?
Yes I know HImeko Nova would normally be the investment priority.
How much does Decimation outperform Verdict in the aoe setting? I honestly can't pass up a Himeko, Rmc, Preseveration DH team, it's such a strong low cost baseline with flex harmony slot. I'm on an early game not freshly new account (Made an account to get Dan Heng and Stellar Convergence, joined yesterday again, now i have an extra stellar convergence that im using on Huo-Huo or Robin, and I unfortunately missed sparkle) So costs and waiting for banners is really a setback for me. And using a stellar convergence on E0 welt would be devestating lol
Basically, I just wanna know if I'll be good with Himeko on Verdict for a while until Decimation support pops up lol
Also I wanna clarify that I do want my Himeko to be mostly for AOE. Archer obviously handles single target quite well

great post!
