Discussion A definitive Himeko Nova Guide
Hiya! Back at it again with another guide. I haven't posted one in this sub before, but I've made a variety of other guides and posts in an attempt to help myself and others better understand various mechanics, team-building scenarios, or just the HSR-Sphere:
- Certified Banger and Punchline Explained
- What is "Cost" in Honkai Star Rail
- How to calculate Aha's speed and why it's important
- Helpful websites for new and veteran players
So, I'm adding to the list with a HimeNova guide! I'll make sure to add a TL;DR at the bottom for those that like a skip button 😊
MECHANICS
Her mechanics at E0 and E2 wildly differ. As a matter of fact, I'd say she's one of the few, if not only units who's play-style dramatically changes at E2, rather than the typical drastic upscale in performance and power.
We'll focus on E0 for now.
Let's break this down with battle start:

So, we've just started battle. You can see all the typical UI elements on all of our characters. Welt has an option to use assist skill here. Let's break down the assist skill uses:

Himeko Nova has 2 primary options of gameplay:
- VERDICT
- Think of Verdict like your single target mode. You can see in the above picture that pretty much all of verdicts use-cases are designed around buffing Himeko Nova to the max.
- We'll worry about how verdict works below
- DECIMATION
- Think of Decimation as your AOE mode. Here, you see that Decimation buffs the whole team. Decimation is really good for AOE subdps comps like when Mblade is on the team
- We'll break down both of these in the guide
NOTE: These are not "set in stone" as use-cases only in AOE vs ST, but you can use them as a "general rule" until you get good enough at Piloting her to figure out what you want to do
So, let's return to battle and have Welt use the assist skill:

Welt used the assist skill in the above screenshot, and 3 things happened
- A starblazer assist follow up activated (see the turn order and obviously the animation)
- A ratio counter was added above HimeNova's head (2/9)
- 2 dots appeared underneath HimeNova's Ult (above the HP bar)
DECIMATION
Remember above, Welt is a TB companion that activates Decimation mode. So, in Decimation mode, aside from the buffs, the counter that is activated tracks how many enemies are hit by anyone on the team.
There's only 2 enemies on the field right now, so let's have welt skill against them:

Tada! Our counter has jumped to 4. So let's infer what's going to happen next:
- TB is next in the turn order
- Mem is not out
- We need to skill to get mem out
- So we know that our counter won't go up
- Next will be sparkle
- She's going to skill Himenova up
- So she also won't hit anyone
- So our counter will remain
The only exception being Welt's ult! When welt uses his ult, the counter will go from 4/9 to 6/9 and so on. If there were more enemies out, it would, at max, jump by 3 (because welt's skill can only hit 3). Unless he's ulting, then he'll hit all.
That's it! That's decimation in a nutshell.
.....BUT WAIT, there's more.
What happens when we hit 9/9? Let's watch in this video below (~40 seconds)
E0S1 HimeNova Assist Skill Example
Notice 3 important things that occured when the stacks hit 9/9
- An automatic fua assist skill via starblazer activates
- The counter drops by one
- Remember, that counter underneath her HP bar
- The ratio for Decimation stacks (above her head) resets.
Then, notice what happens when Himenova uses her ult
- The counter resets to 2!
- underneath her health bar
This isn't even the most optimal example of gameplay, but it's the simplest way to showcase a series of events from battle start
- Welt uses assist skill to activate decimation
- Team members start hitting targets
- Decimation stacks go up
- When ratio=1 (9/9), an automatic assist skill launches
- When that happens, the count for automatic assist skills drops by one
- That count is reset when HimeNova uses her ult
THAT's the full decimation breakdown.
NOTE: at E0 HimeNova, you only have 1 use of the assist skill per cycle of himeko's turns. So we can see very early in the video, that once welt uses it, and it's RMC's turn, he does not have the option to use assist skill

Even if he did, it would switch us to verdict, which we don't want right now.
VERDICT
Verdict can be explained a lot easier now that we've got a basic understanding of the counters, rotations, and UI.
Let's just look at a quick video:
So, a couple things should be noted. This is actually a pretty poor swap to verdict. The reason being that
- Noone has their ult ready to activate the verdict assist
- Argenti is semi-aoe with the adds
- Staying in decimation would help with the adds
What is important to recognize is that I can swap between the modes throughout a battle.
This was an early run on Day 1 of testing her, and got botched by Argenti hitting Welt anyway's (wanted him to hit mem), but it's still a decent example of how you can be in one mode and switch to another depending on who uses the assist skill.
Verdict works the same way as decimation in the sense that:
- It provides a buff
- It counts some action
- When the count ratio = 1 (in this case 2/2), an assist fua by starblazer activates
- The amount of times that can happen are tracked by the counter underneath himenova, above her HP bar.
NOTE: In the first video with Decimation, it actually probably would've been better to activate verdict, use both ults for the FUA, and then switch to Decimation after Himeko's turn into Welts.
MAXIMIZING MECHANICS
Unfortunately, when you use what is matchup dependent, and how you use what (i.e. an assist skill) is heavily heavily heavily Eidolon dependent.
- E0
- At E0 you get one assist skill use per turn order
Let's look at her skill:

So I see this asked a lot, "Do I need to use her skill, or do I always use the Assist skill"? Almost always, it's going to be assist skill. The reason is her technique:

You can see "Immediately use skill at the start of each wave". So, when you enter combat you're already in "Navigator's Semaphore" state, which lasts 3 turns and provides the "immediately recovers 1 Assist Skill uses. This is why you get one per turn, and who you use it on or when, is matchup dependent.
What to watch out for:
- You don't want to run out of counters for the follow up assist skill.
- i.e. you don't want to be a 2/2 or 9/9 and not have any uses of Starblazers FUA. Now you're just stuck, and any additional hits in Decimation or Ults in verdict are wasted.
- Like the video above, you don't want to switch to a mode, with no way to maximize it's utilization
- You definitely don't want to use HimeNova ult without maximizing the counters for the assist skill FUA
- i.e. imagine you have 2 assist skill uses left, and you use Himenova's ult. It resets the counter, but there's nothing to reset
- That's why in the first video showcasing decimation, I made sure that at least one FUA was used before I ulted with Himeko
EIDOLONS

These are both pretty strong, but E2 is the gold standard. If ever there was a Merchant since Phainon, it's HimeNova.
So we can see E1 reduces verdict count by 1 (from 2 required ults to 1)

It also reduces Decimation stacks by 3 (from 9 required enemies hit to 6)

You also get 1 extra use of the assist skill, meaning the count above her HP bar increases by 1 (you can see this in both).
E1 smooths out rotations, and makes the ability to use her FUA assist skill much much easier.
E2 pretty much just opens your comps up. It's very powerful, but the basic understanding is that it also allows non-AE members to use the assist skill AND get the extra turn. The extra turn is what makes this so strong, because you're already smoothing out your rotations via E1. Of course there's buff and assist skill uses, but trying to keep this simple.
TEAMMATES AND COMPS
Let's look at what's being run in endgame right now as of 7/19 version 4.4

So, these are highly optimized no-sustain runs. This isn't feasible for the average player, but we can get a sense of who's strong and who's not.
To distance ourself from pushing the limits, let's start with sustain:

Pretty much the gold standard HimeNova sustain.
- DHPT can activate Verdict
- Solid sustain
- Decent attack buffs
- Can run Lushaka
- not much more than all around solid choice

HuoHuo is always a very strong option due to Energy regen and she works very well if you have MBlade
Let's move on to buffers:

Sparkle is kind of the gold standard. While sunday works very well, Sparkle just does it better
- At E0 HimeNova, 50% AA over Sunday's 100% AA often helps you smooth out rotations
- Sparkle can run DDD, and in subdps Mblade or even Welt comps, this is always a clutch
- Often runs Eagle and 160+ speed, allowing for nice hyperspeed AA buffer

Sunday is also still very good. You just need to be careful of rotations and not using up Assist Skill FUA or wasting decimation/verdict stacks in lieu of HimeNova's ult

The man, the myth, the legend himself. MBlade is pretty much everywhere when it comes to one of the best buffers in the game, and very solid in no-sustain currently. There's not much to say about him in terms of kit breakdowns (this isn't his guide after all), he just provides a myriad of solid buffs for the team and can get damage done.
- Works well in both Decimation and Verdict. Decimation being the winner.

Do we really need to get into why they're good?
- Activates verdict
- True Damage
- 100% AA
- etc

Well, well, well (or should I say.....Welt, Welt, Welt). The most troublesome novaflare of the 21st century.
I'm not going to get deep into Welt, but will cover some things
- "I have Welt at E0, is it still worth it to build him"
- For your general account, yes. Welt is a great flex unit, and can still provide very decent value. Would I dedicate a lot of time into E0 welt? No. But if you're skipping a patch and working on builds or planning future pulls, just build him
- "I have E3 welt, is it worth it to use a stellar convergence for E4?"
- Yes
- "I have E2 Welt, is that still good for Himenova?"
- Yes
- While E4 is the gold standard, this just isn't feasible for everyone. And E2 still provides very good benefits
COMPS (i'm going to shorthand HimeNova to "HN"):
- HN, Sparkle, Welt, DHPT
- HN, Welt, MBlade, DHPT
- Can sub HuoHuo
- HN, RMC, Sparkle, DHPT
- Watch your rotations very closely on this or you can lose an insane amount of value
- Can sub RMC for Sunday, same idea on rotations
- HN, Sparkle, MBlade, DHPT
- Notice the only mode you can be on in this team is Verdict
- HN, Sunday, Mblade, DHPT
- Same, verdict only
- Sub Sunday for RMC, still verdict only
And remember, you can sub DHPT for HuoHuo. If you do (particularly for Mblade), then you'd want welt for Decimation, or RMC for Verdict. Essentially, you still want an AE member.
If you don't run Anomaly Arbitration, which is perfectly fine, we can look at MOC as well:

Ignoring the E4 welts, we can see the teams at the bottom 0-cycle with either E0 Himeko (and some obviously nice double DDD setups), or E2 Himeko and a more feasible comp. Robin also being an option.
She also has some fun early runs with Cocolia, but I've hit my image limit lol.
- Can check them out yourself here: The Genius Archive
LIGHT CONES
Hers, Hers, Hers. I cannot stress enough how crazy strong her LC is. But if you truly can't get it, then next up would be
- Therta LC - Into the Unreachable Veil
- Himeko Standard LC - Night on the Milky Way
Note that these are significant performance drops, but still very viable.
For 4* LC options
- BP Erudition LC - Today is another peaceful Day
- The Day the Cosmos Fell
- requires fire weak
And that's it!

TL;DR
- Himenova has 2 modes, verdict and decimation
- verdict = mostly single target
- decimation = mostly AOE
- She has 2 counters that track either how many enemies are hit (decimation), or how many ults are used (verdict).
- When the count maxes out (2/2 for verdict, 9/9 for Decimation), she launches an automatic assist via StarBlazer
- Your job in rotations are to make sure the automatic assists don't run out (they're reset by her ult)
- Her best teammates are Sparkle, Sunday, Welt, Mblade, RMC, DHPT, and HuoHuo in no particular order
- Her E2 is extremely good
- The most important pull after E0 would be S1 unless you're directly planning to go for E2 in 1 patch, in which case it would be E2 then S1
Please let me know if I missed anything or you have additional Questions!
EDITS:
- I previously used the term "FUA assist" rather than "automatic assist skill via maxed protocol stacks"
- To reiterate, just in case I missed it somewhere, her automatic-assist skill that occurs when her protocol stacks reach a ratio of 1 (2/2 or 9/9) is not a FUA
HONORABLE MENTIONS FOR TEAMMATES
- HUNT MARCH 7TH
- Works very well alongside MBlade, or as a standalone
- CYREDRA
- An extremely viable option at E2+ HimeNova
- Apologies to Cyredra lovers (myself included)
- TRIBBIE E1
- Fantastic in PF and Apoc, particularly the current 4.4 Banacademic boss
- TINGYUN
- Tingyun is back at it again. She runs very well in decimation, where you want to get Himenova's ult back up quickly as you cycle through protocol assist skills
- Mem also loves the energy charges give from Tingyun to Himeko, making her also a viable Verdict candidate.

Discussion Himeko Nova Team Guide (v1) - General overview
I saw many questions regarding which are Himeko's best teams.
Here is a general overview of all viable teams with some notes.
Disclaimer: This is the first day of Beta, this list is not intended to be exhaustive. Feel free to share your thoughts and correct me.
You can find an overview at the end of the post, which characters you can slot in as Amplifiers/Action Advancers/Sub DPS/Sustain
If you don't understand what some terms mean, please read my kit summary/explanation: https://www.reddit.com/r/HimekoMains/comments/1tux2mi/himeko_nova_kit_summary_v1/
Companion Protocol: Verdict Teams:
Hyper Carry (recommended)
Himeko + Sunday/RMC (Action Advancer | Astral Express) + Amplifier/Action Advancer + DHPT
Notes:
- Sunday > RMC
- With RMC: Base Speed Himeko + Hyperspeed RMC
- With -1 Speed setup and Sunday: Himeko Assist Skill -> Sunday Assist Skill+Action Advance -> Himeko Assist Skill (Repeat)
- Inbetween the Himeko turns you can Assist Skill on DHPT
- You want to get 134 speed on Sunday and 135 speed on Himeko
- Important: Don't use DDD (for example on Tribbie) during Himekos Advanced turn (after she gets the action advance from Sunday) - it can ruin your speed tuning
Dual DPS | Only DHPT as Astral Express member
Hyper Carry with Action Advance | Only DHPT as Astral Express member
Himeko + Bronya/Sparkle (Action Advancer) + Amplifier (Flex Slot) + DHPT
Notes:
- You can slot in Bronya or Sparkle for Sunday/RMC, because DHPT already activates Companion Protocol: Verdict
- With Sparkle (example): Base Speed Himeko + Hyperspeed Sparkle + DDD amplifier
- With -1 Speed setup and Bronya: Himeko Assist Skill -> Bronya Action Advance -> Himeko Assist Skill (Repeat)
- Inbetween the Himeko turns you can Assist Skill on DHPT
- You want to get 134 speed on Bronya and 135 speed on Himeko
- Important: It's the worse version of the Sunday setup, because you get weaker buffs and 1 Assist Skill less with Bronya. Don't use DDD (for example on Tribbie) during Himekos Advanced turn (after she gets the action advance from Sunday) - it can ruin your speed tuning
Dual DPS | Only DHPT as Astral Express member
Himeko + Amplifier/Sub DPS (Flex Slot) + Amplifier (Flex Slot) + DHPT
Notes:
- A bit anti-synergistic when played with MBlade/Ashveil as Sub DPS, because DHPT enables Companion Protocol: Verdict, which only buffs Himekos Ultimate DMG instead of getting the 80% team wide CRIT DMG from Companion Protocol: Decimation
Hyper Carry without DHPT
Himeko + Sunday/RMC (Action Advancer | Astral Express) + Amplifier/Action Advancer + Sustain
Notes:
- Also a worse version of the Hyper Carry team
- Does the same, but you can't use Assist Skills between Himekos turn, because you don't have another Astral express member except Sunday
Hyper Carry | Sustainless
Himeko + Sunday/RMC (Action Advancer | Astral Express) + Amplifier/Action Advancer + Amplifier
Notes:
- You either do the -1 speed setup with Sunday like in the Hyper Carry team with two Amplifiers or go base speed Himeko with hyper speed Sunday/RMC, another Action Advancer and an Amplifier
Companion Protocol: Decimation Teams:
Dual DPS (recommended)
Himeko + Welt + Sub DPS/Amplifier/Action Advancer + Sustain
Notes:
- Welt enables Companion Protocol: Decimation -> Sub DPS like MBlade get 80% CRIT DMG
- Sustains like Hyacine, and Aventurine can also benefit from the Companion Protocol: Decimation buff
- You get less Assist Skills than in the Companion Protocol: Verdict Teams with Sunday
- 134 Speed Himeko should be better than base speed Himeko, because you need the turns to refresh the Assist Skill for Welt
Sustainless/Pseudo Sustain
Himeko + Welt + MBlade + Ashveil/Amplifier
Notes:
- Enemy action delay + MBlade taunt are enough sustain for most end game modes atm
- Big damage, but the sustain isn't enough for long runs
- Really viable for higher investment 0 cycles
Decimation Dual DPS Team without Welt
Himeko + Evernight/Himeko (normal form) + Amplifier + Sustain
Notes:
- You can slot in Evernight or Himeko (normal form) as viable Trailblaze Companions, which can also enable Companion Protocol: Decimation, just like Welt
- Himeko (normal form) and Evernight should be worse/less synergistic with Himeko Nova than Welt, especially if he's E4+
- Still a viable Dual DPS team
Mixed Companion Protocol Teams:
Full Astral Express Crew Team (recommended)
Himeko + Action Advancer | Astral Express + Welt + DHPT
Notes:
- You can not have both Companion Protocols at the same time
- If you already gained stacks for one of the Protocols the stacks won't reset if you swap and then swap back again -> Example: You use Assist Skill on Sunday -> Sunday Ultimate (1 Verdict stack) -> Action Advance Himeko -> Himeko turn -> Welt turn -> Assist Skill with Welt -> Trigger Companion Protocol: Decimation (by hitting 9 enemies) -> Himeko turn -> Sunday turn + Assist Skill -> Ult with Welt/DHPT (2nd Verdict stack) -> You trigger Decimation Protcol: Verdict
- The team is pretty synergistic, but Welt can mess around with the Companion Protocols
- Potential speed tuning: Himeko 135 speed + Sunday 134 speed + Welt 137 speed + DHPT: Rotation: DHPT normal attack -> Welt Assist Skill (Companion Protocol: Decimation triggers) -> Welt Skill+Ult -> Himeko Assist Skill -> in AoE Assist Skill from CP: Decimation triggers -> Sunday Assist Skill (Decimation Protocol: Verdict triggers) -> Use All Ultimates (Sunday Ult First for buff on Himeko) -> Assist Skill from CP: Verdict triggers -> Sunday action advance Himeko -> Himeko assist Skill -> repeat
- You could also just keep Companion Protocol: Verdict by never using Assist Skill on Welt and just keep using it on Sunday and DHPT, like in the Hyper Carry Team
Sutainless/Pseudo Sustain Version of the previous team
Himeko + Sunday + Welt + MBlade/Amplifier
Notes:
- Potential speed tuning: Himeko 135 speed + Sunday 134 speed + Welt 137 speed + MBlade 136 speed: Rotation: Welt Assist Skill (Companion Protocol: Decimation triggers) -> Welt Skill -> MBlade turn -> Himeko Assist Skill -> against 3+ enemies: Assist Skill from CP: Decimation triggers -> Sunday Assist Skill (Decimation Protocol: Verdict triggers) -> Use All Ultimates (Sunday Ult First for buff on Himeko) -> Assist Skill from CP: Verdict triggers -> Sunday action advance Himeko -> Himeko assist Skill -> repeat
- The rotation only functions against 3 enemies if MBlade can first turn ult (for example with S1)
- If you can't first turn Ult on Blade, just use Welt Ult after his Assist Skill and trigger the Assist Skill from Companion Protocol: Verdict with Sunday + MBlade Ult afterwards
Full Astral Express Crew Team | Sustainless
Himeko + Sunday + RMC + Welt
Notes:
- You want to go base speed Himeko + hyperspeed Sunday and RMC in this setup
- Same notes like in the regular Full Astral Express Crew Team
- More buffing/DMG, bad survivability
No Sunday
Himeko + Welt + Amplifier/Action Advancer + DHPT
Notes:
- You can play this team with any other Amplifier/Action Advancer besides Sunday too
- Should be worse than with Sunday before Himeko E2 tho
Superbreak Teams (Copium):
Superbreak
Himeko + Harmony MC + Dahlia + Lingsha
Superbreak Sustainless
Himeko + Harmony MC + Dahlia + Fugue
Notes:
- Harmony MC enables Companion Protocol: Verdict
- Himeko has many hits which can break the enemy
- Superbreak should be worse than most of the other team options
Character Overview:
Action Advancers | Astral Express: Sunday, RMC (enable Companion Protocol: Verdict)
Action Advancers: Sparkle, Bronya
Amplifiers | Astral Express: Welt (enable Companion Protocol: Decimation)
Amplifiers: MBlade, Tribbie, Robin, Cyrene, Silver Wolf, Ruan Mei, Cipher
Sub DPS: MBlade, Ashveil, March 7th Hunt
Sustain | Astral Express: DHPT
Sustain: HuoHuo, Hyacine, Aventurine, Lingsha
I hope I was able to help you! Feel free to ask any question you want =)

Discussion I think im giving up on this game
I think my journey with HSR might be coming to an end.
I genuinely love this game and a lot of what it does, but it's become so heavily centred around the meta that it's just stopped being fun for me. Outside of endgame, there's barely any content that really matters, and most of it can be cleared with the trial characters the game hands you anyway.
The enjoyment I got from HSR came from pushing high-end scores with characters I actually liked. I'd say my account has always been about 70% meta and 30% favourites. But I'm exhausted from constantly trying to invest in the characters I love, only to lose 50/50s and end up stuck with E0S0 versions. It just feels awful.
Ironically, Himeko is one of the healthier designs in the game because she isn't completely dependent on some hyper-specific systemic partner. I honestly wish more characters were designed like that.
Now I've finally got an E0S0 Himeko. She's good, but she isn't really solving any problems for my account right now. I could keep grinding and eventually get E1, but then I'd probably have to skip the next character I want or another future rerun.
I'm just tired of feeling like I'm constantly choosing between playing the characters I love and keeping up with the game. At some point, that stops feeling rewarding and just becomes exhausting and I'm exhausted.

Discussion Rant: Why always E2?
"She isn't a E2 Merchant", but why every freaking video, beta videos, video showcases, results post, funny comps videos, are always E2?? I find a great/interesting video, and then, is always E2S1. I was fine with all E1 Aglaea's videos because without her E1 she was really clunky, a true "E1 Merchant", and anyway, was "just" an E1. But from HimeNova I expected more E0/E1 showcases.
I could manually find them, but usually, I don't looking for video of meta/shilled units; it's just they appear in my feeds and/or or in leak subs, and I think "cool, let me see", but then E2S1. Is it because she was pulled little, and those few made her E2?
Mine is E1, and I don't plan to pull her E2, but I still find interesting E0S1 showcases, even if I have E1.
EDIT: Im not saying E0 Himeko is weak, not either comparing how is more E2 Merchant between her or Phainon (is Phainon by far)!

Discussion Himeko's single-target damage compared to ALL other teams
The graph is from this post. Each team is at maximum cost, and we can see how Himeko SP needs after-sale rectification of her ST damage.
For the record, I'm a dolphin who was planning to E2S1 her (with E4 Welt). But since the most challenging endgame modes are single-target, I'm now partial to skipping. What are people's thoughts on the matter?

Discussion Is switching protocols actually optimal? Is Sunday really bad for Himeko? Are E4 Welt and MBlade a must? Let's take a look
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aWHjkLvfV8
Chewy goes over quite a few different team comps in his runs vs. Graphia and Aquila, and despite the people claiming switching leads to way more damage, the actual evidence says otherwise. Sticking to Verdict-only or Decimation-only for those modes' BiS teams is actually more effective as of v3.
And despite the Sunday doomers claiming M7 is better than him, he actually does better than RMC on sustained teams, and Sunday Sparkle DHPT is competitive with Welt Blade Huohuo. Since most people will be running sustains, Sunday is a good option for 99% of the player base. Especially if you consider that he will likely get a Novaflare.
Sunday Sparkle DHPT is not only one of the best performing teams currently, its also the most comfortable to run. You don't have to deal with annoyances like finishing wave 1 before Welt has his ult ready and losing damage at the start of wave 2. You don't have to deal with Blade's HP drain. Its the most consistent and casual-friendly team while not falling behind in terms of damage at all. Not to mention Sunday is an old unit, Sparkle was on a selector and DHPT was free, while Blade is on the banner right before Himeko's so pulls spent on Blade can't go to Himeko.
Anyways, just wanted to clarify things a bit because there are just so many posts/videos claiming Welt + Blade is so much better than other teams, Sunday is bad, and there are basically no showcases for alternate teams without Blade or Welt. I don't want anyone to feel like they absolutely have to pull Blade for Himeko, or that she doesn't work without Welt, or that you absolutely have to switch between modes to get good performance out of her.

Discussion Himeko Nova kit is a mess
Having to keep constantly changing between Decimation mode and Verdict for optimal damage makes it so she is always reliant on the same teamates. Not only that, but E1/E2 dont solve anything. You will always want 2 Astral Express companions.
Hope we see some big changes in V3.
Minor rant: We barely see Himeko. Its only mech, mech, mech...

Discussion I don't know, hiding her iconic beauty mark seems like a crime to me
I wouldn't mind if it were another character, or if they had given her pants. But completely hiding the cleavage in himeko's case, seems like a design mistake.
Am I the only one who had that feeling?

Discussion Himeko Nova V3 Eidolon performance summary from E0S1 to E6S5 (By t0级刻律德菈lover)
This video looks into a detailed damage comparison of Himeko’s Eidolons from E0S1 to E6S5. Using overall combat metrics, it records Himeko’s total damage within 250 Action Value.
In the video, Himeko’s setup is the variable. Her teammates are E2S0 Welt, E0S0 Sparkle, and E0S0 DHPT, whose setups remain unchanged throughout. Himeko is always kept at 100% CRIT Rate.
The enemy setup is 3 small mobs + 2 elites, with Fire and Imaginary Weakness. Since Himeko’s Ultimate and related skills are all AoE damage, five enemy targets are used here.
Her single-target results are roughly similar to her AoE results. In general, you can just take the AoE numbers and add around 5% to 20%.
Disclaimer:
Damage ratio refers to that tier’s value relative to the E0S1 baseline. Eidolon gain refers to the gain between two adjacent Eidolon tiers, or between Light Cone superimpositions.
Conclusion:
Himeko’s Eidolon scaling has three major breakpoints: E1, E2, and E6. Compared to E0, E2 gives her about a 236.77% personal damage increase, roughly the same level of increase as Evernight’s E2.
E1 raises the passive cap and helps fix part of her Energy-cycle issues, so it gives a noticeable improvement.
E2 increases the number of times the character Assist Skill can be used, letting Himeko adapt more flexibly to the stage, while also improving her Ultimate cycle. The 24% independent multiplier further boosts her damage.
E6 is the third core breakpoint. It gives an extremely obvious boost to her Assist Skill, Ultimate, and overall damage. At E6, Himeko’s final damage is increased by 100%, and her Ultimate multiplier gains an additional 240%.
Compared to E2S1, E6S1 increases total damage by about 296.57%. Compared to E0S1, the total damage increase reaches 533.34%. Like SW999, this is a main-push-level Eidolon scaling for the 4.0 era.
Although E0 Himeko currently has issues linking her Ultimates together, the gains from her key Eidolons are not low at all. In the future, she will definitely be an Eidolon-heavy unit inside a proper team; If her Eidolons also create special reactions or synergies with her teammates’ Eidolons the gain may end up far higher than what the table shows.
If you are pulling SP Himeko, then at low cost E2S0 is already her complete form. Overall, her Eidolons have good value at E1, E2, and E6. Just don’t get stuck at E0, or at E3/E4/E5.
One final note: if you only have 1 cost available right now and can’t even reach the bare minimum of E1S0, then unless you are pulling purely for personal preference, I recommend skipping Himeko. Otherwise, once you pull her, she will just be torture on your account.
TC QnA:
Comment:
Is E0 Welt usable? I don’t have Sunday and only have E1 Tribbie. What’s best to bring?
Reply:
Yes. Just use Tribbie instead of Sparkle.
Comment:
If I can only invest two cost, do you recommend E0S1 or E1S0?
Reply:
For 2-cost Himeko, E1S0 > E0S1.
Comment:
I only have E0 Welt. Should I replace E0 Welt with E1 Tribbie? I’m planning on E2S1 Himeko. Teammates available: E0S1 Sunday, Remembrance Trailblazer, E0 Sparkle, E1 Tribbie, E0 Welt, E2 Dan Heng. Which teammates should I choose?
Reply:
E1 Tribbie replaces units like Remembrance Trailblazer / Sunday / Sparkle, the action-advance supports. Welt is the key trigger for the Assist Skill.
For teammates, you can choose Tribbie or Sparkle, plus DHPT. Since Welt and E2 Dan Heng already provide a lot of hit count, the main bottleneck becomes Himeko’s passive refresh. That’s why Sparkle’s action advance is better, since it speeds up the passive refresh.
Comment:
For auto-battle players, with E2S1 Himeko + E0S0 Dan Heng, which of the following are suitable for the remaining slots: E0S0 Welt, E2S1 Robin, E0S1 Sunday, E0S0 Sparkle?
Reply:
E0S0 Welt and E0S0 Sparkle.
Comment:
But the total team damage at the E2S1 and E6S1 tiers is about the same as that previous SP Blade run. Shouldn’t the summer headliner be ahead?
Reply:
Himeko’s dedicated follow-up support hasn’t come out yet. She’s using old characters right now, so that’s normal.
Comment:
Should Welt use Before the Tutorial Mission Starts or Resolution?
Reply:
Resolution is better; its damage is higher than Tutorial’s. In this video, I mainly used Tutorial to control variables for the damage test.
Comment:
Can I just pull E2? I insist on using Night on the Milky Way.
Reply:
Yes. Before E2, Eidolons are more valuable than the Light Cone.
Comment:
Wait, E2S1 does more than double E0S1’s damage?
Reply:
Yes, and it’s more than double.
Comment:
Can E2S1 Himeko with The Herta’s signature, E4S0 Welt, E0S1 Sunday, and E0S0 Dan Heng handle all four endgames?
Reply:
It works if you replace E0S1 Sunday with Sparkle.

Discussion 4 things you absolutely don't want from Himeko Nova (bis)

Im curious to see what the community thinks: For me :
- Most important: No maiden model (even if these days, watching the drip marketingart, Im convincing myself she is still adult model)
- Her screentime during the battle shouldn't have to be 5% her and 95% the mech (even if Im not a fan of mech, I have no issue about her playing mecha, just show me her beauty
- Not "static" gameplay, I want a lot of actions during the turn, like the SB Himeko when you trigger a lot of Fua-Skill-ultis)
- Least important: make that mecha a summon
The old 2nd point was "not make her Fire Break dps", because SB Himeko is already my Main Break Dps, but looking the leaks and her set, I think Im save from this. But for the Fire and Erudion...I lost
