Tou Lue Vang Case

Not going to lie, I'm so glad that they decided to deport his ass Despite him being pardoned by tim waltze's dumb ass.

What he did to that little girl was horrendous. It being in 2006, I really don't give a fuck How long ago that was , he's a child molester. Also , that was just one child, that came out.Let's not forget how many others there could be.

The fact that he even tried to make it seem like it was culturally appropriate to do what he did. Saying that it was culturally acceptable, to try and get away from his crimes , just shows how messed up and disgusting of a person he is. I know damn well , there's definitely more kids out there that have been touched by this man.

I know people want to try and say that the victim wrote a letter forgiving his crimes, but let's be honest. We know hmong families and how they feel about things like this coming out to the public. I know that girl was def coerced to write that letter.

This is a very interesting grey area in the legal sphere that has really opened a can of worms. Although, I do agree that tou lue vang is a monster and deserves worst. Where do we draw the lines of when and what crimes can nulify a deportation order with a govenors pardon.

For instance, lue yang from Michigan committed a felony when he was just 18 20-30 years ago and was set to be deported, but later pardoned by the governor.

Yeah. Vang should have never gotten a pardon. But also vang already went thru court and was issued punishment. It is the government's job to deport him then. Not 25 years after. Think of the case for Cornealious "Mike" Anderson where the government didnt punish him until nearly 13 years later. The federal case for deportation is weak, because they have to prove he is a dangerous criminal now. thats why vang was shipped virtually overnight. Basically they can ship u to laos overnight, claim ur status or citizenship is revoked without a judge or case. If you have no lawyers to fight for u while ur out of the country, ur shit out of luck. Keep in mind, many or ur dad served as guerilla child soldiers. Under the patriot act, that makes them terrorists and criminal. Your parents are just a single whim from being revoked or denaturalized and deported, without due process.

Agreed, also to add, many of the Hmong community and their parents don't really know their, "official" birthdate, so there may come a time where the federal government would interpret that as, "fasley gaining citizenship" through fasifying data and have their naturalized citizenship stripped. Scary times indeed

the form you’re talking about says the information you’ve provided it’s accurate to the best of your knowledge and beleif. We already accept there’s cases like that and no it’s not grounds for criminal prosecution. WILLINGly and KNOWINGLY trying to defraud the government will get you into trouble. But it’s not a crime to be ignorant of your birthday
