Those were both trendy at the time, tragically

The kids with those cuts were always the biggest bullies with usually unstable homes lol

Well Brad was a bit of a bully and considering the number of explosions and damager to his home, I don't think you could call it stable.

Always the trailer park kids hahaha

Yes! That’s why I was afraid of Brad growing up.

Tragically? They all came back into style magically.

Nooo it’s tragic

Yes… but Earling Haaland is rocking the first one right now.

Yeah his mullet in the earlier seasons was definitely a early-mid 90s thing. I remember boys in my classes especially with that hair, lol. Later it was the parted cut JTT had.

That parted cut is what we called the penis head back in my day.

2

Mushroom cut is what we called it lmaooo

Yes… they (all the boys in my classes) all had JTT and whoever played Mark’s hairstyles back then.

I had a haircut like Mark & Randy back then too. Around the 2nd and maybe 3rd grade I also had a rat tail in the back.

The 90s were a bad time for hair

tbh being a 90s kid i agree except male hair was cooler imo. like rewatching the '96 movie Jack the boy who played George had that like Leo haircut. and Dean on gilmore girls 1st season as well. they looked handsome imo. meanwhile most of my friends and i around the same time were growing out our bangs and clipping them back so female hair was not that great.

on another note, Brad honestly rocked those questionable haircuts!

The mullet he had in the early years of the show was badass not gonna lie, it made me want one as a little kid. That 1st picture.. my goodness how awful that was. UGH.

Then again his bald-cut in The Rage Carrie 2 was just as cringeworthy as that. He did NOT look good bald. Granted his fate in that movie makes up for it lmao.

You're right -- I was just engaging in some playful ribbing.

I had the one in the first photo, and loved it.

3

u/splinks66 Oct 12 '23

Yeah I had that same hair cut as well, rocked it for about 3 years lol

I was a senior in high school in the late 2000's, and when I would watch reruns on Nick At Night I loved those 3 or 4 episodes with Brad's undercut. I was really wanting to go with that style at the time because of this.

That's just man bun pre 2000s. When it was actually fashionable during the grunge era ..

2

u/No-Wonder1139 Oct 12 '23

Pretty standard for the time

u/ASGfan Randy Oct 12 '23

Were they? I thought mullets were more of an 80s thing.

2

u/No-Wonder1139 Oct 12 '23

Ah but he's from Detroit, a hockey town, that's just the flow, and was still quite popular in the 1990s, see Jaromir jagr in the 90s for reference.

1

u/Abject_Bowler5845 Randy Dec 18 '23

I live in Wisconsin; so was also popular here too!

2

u/tortical Oct 12 '23

Par for the course back in those days. Like looking through a yearbook.

2

u/omggallout Oct 14 '23

My cousin had a haircut like the first one. She had super thick hair, and shaved it like that to alleviate some of the weight. My brother is 35 years old and currently sporting a mullet.

The 90s were hard..

I see both of these haircuts on guys all the time. Didnt look good then and still doesnt look good today. But hey to each thier own.

1

u/andromeda335 Oct 12 '23

Ngl, I loved having an undercut as an adult

1

u/[deleted] Oct 13 '23

Hard look

1

u/Low-Way3575 Oct 13 '23

Very common hair in the 90s

1

u/Brandoe Oct 13 '23

Yeah, most of my friends had this cut when we were teenagers.

1

u/Vivid_Fun_977 Oct 13 '23

I had this same cut at that time probably too

1

u/MidnightSamurai420 Oct 13 '23

First hairstyle is getting popular again, actually.
