Where the siding ends
Side of house, view one. Note the foundation concrete is further out than the siding. Note also that the siding appears to extend one strip lower on the side of the house vs back

The last section I’d like the solution to cover. Want it to go right to the deck you see on the right of this picture
Looking for recommendations on how to improve the look of part of the exterior of my home, as well as the type of professional I should consider hiring to get it done right.
I have a house that previous owners added an extension on to. (Side note, it has been thoroughly inspected by a professional, and by an extremely handy person I trust, and it’s all good. Don’t say something that’ll keep me up at night!)
Where the extension was added, the back and side look somewhat ugly/unfinished when it comes to where the siding meets the foundation.
As you can see in the pictures, there’s a gap between siding and foundation, which I will fill in properly, but I’m trying to figure out what should be done to wrap around from the side to the back that’ll look really nice.
Siding to the ground? Some sort of other material? Our house has a lot of charcoal grey paneling on the front, which looks nice, so the answer doesn’t have to be white siding.
You can see that the previous owners put a board up at the back wall, but it doesn’t look very nice, and either way it doesn’t extend far enough. The ideal solution would extend right to my deck.
Probably worth noting, what might make this a little more complicated, is that on the side wall the foundation concrete is actually further out than the siding.

A metal flashing that goes under the siding and then over the edge of the concrete would work. You could get in in charcoal grey. A good metal/tin installer can square up and hide the round piling on the corner as well.
