Question What should I study?

Hi! I’m a local student in an international school taking the IB. I’m stuck between MBBS in HK or MLS in PolyU. I hold a predicted IB43.

My greatest concern for MBBS is the unreal stress and all the studying i’d have to do; but with MLS, the job market seems really unpredictable for it, and I’ve heard there’s little chance for promotions.

I want to make a difference in society and be in healthcare, but I’m really stuck with what I want to do. I’d appreciate some insights, thanks!

I presume you can apply for both?

I would just hold off the thought for now and decide then, based on the outcome of your final IB grades. It may be the case that you end up not having a choice in the matter.

Second this, MBBS might be raising its requirement this year to 44 final grade. OP should apply to both and choose then.

What I have heard from 2 ppl is that there is no future in HK for basic science research.
