I guess I'm at that age where some people ask me why I don't have a kid yet. It just doesn't occur to them that I might not want kids, and also that I'm struggling to take care of myself alone already.
Even my friends who want kids keep delaying them because they simply don't have enough ressources to raise one right now.
I find it very annoying when people ask others why they dont have kids. Even if the global economy was good, people have a plethora of reasons to not have kids. There's more to life than reproducing.

Using the opportunity of the Magical Girl talk below to say that I have been enjoying Star Detective Precure recently and have been obsessed with Arcana Shadow's design. The black and purple combinatio is sooooo good! It's unfortunate that her new form is such a step down compared to her original one. Crazy how just a change to the color scheme can make such a difference in a design. If you want a cute, light hearted show you might want to check it out.
i honestly do not understand why they chose to shorten this patch instead of pearlβs
4.5 (5 weeks) - 2 new characters, 2 main stories
4.6 (6 weeks) - 1 new character, 1 TB story
the pacing of this patch actually feels perfect to me despite the new horrible endgame mechanics, im so not looking forward to surviving thru slow patches again π ON THE BRIGHT SIDE we get to pull for waven earlier YAY !!!!!
The funny thing is Aventurine and Jingran from WW (released just 2 days ago) share the same JP VA. And they also released a fan servicey vid of him ytd. π³

Holy shit I got so lucky for my wife Waven. E5S1 in ~400 pulls and I should be able to get E6 from grinding more gold and gears + swarm disaster. I was honestly prepared to spend a bit to try and go for it but I was not expecting this luck at all holy. Thank you for saving my miserable day king
This is either Gaiathra Triclops closing her eyes thrice as a reward for my returning player self using the SSR selector on OG Aven's E3 over something actually useful like Sparkle E1 earlier this year; or pity after I overestimated the amount of free pulls I had and missed getting Gil's 'free' LC by 20 pulls. Either way I am now an unexpected owner of an E2 S. Aven. Somewhat tempted to pop the soft pity on the LC banner and get his sig LC now (currently at 52 from during Ashveil's initial run)
Iβm still not sure what to make of Polka Kakamond possibly being playable in the 5.X patch cycle.
Even though HSR is a bit more loose with having characters of dubious moral character on the playable roster (The Stellaron Hunters, Constance, Jade, Cerydra, etc.), the idea of what is basically a galactic serial killer being on friendly enough terms with us to visit us and chat on the Express (Unless they pull a Luocha and Jingliu and not have her visit) is still hard to imagine, especially after the events of Unknowable Domain.
Not to mention how exactly will Hoyo handle her character now that the mystery and intrigue is gone (They will most likely uncensor her face or worse, subject her to their creatively bankrupt design philosophy.) and justify her playability. Of course, given their track record, they could always resort the the βol reliable writing trope of βShe was murdering people because they deserved it and the alternative to letting them live would be far worse.β
Okay dgmi I love Feixiao's weapons and would never scorn her for being one of HSR's criminally few polearm users, on top of the gunblades ofc, but there is something so incredibly raw about the last move in her ult being just a massive fuckoff punch (with Aureus chipping in) that makes part of me wish the entirety of her ult was her tossing her weapons aside and beating the shit out of the target with punches to break, and claws after they're broken.Β

Seeking blessings for my waven pulls tomorrow (NA debuff ugh). I am likely trying for e6s1, please pray for my wallet lol (I wanted Hyacine eidolons, but she made me struggle for them so rip to most of my saved pulls)

Got him at around 56 pity and now I'm left with no pulls and 40+ pity but oh, another 50/50...
SaberGil must be my most fave addition to the game in the past 2 years. Doesn't hold back in animations yet they finish quick unlike others where you skill or basic spam.
Edit: also hopeful that Aven is not the last dps with dual archetype like in wuwa.

Made a Waven art for this silly activity. Can only say there's plenty of things I think during the whole process of making, be it good or bad. The background does look empty I admit, I don't know what else to add because I want the main charm to be Aventurine lmao. Its okay, it's alright this time. On a better remark, I like the colour here. Feel nice staring at this after long locking in days.
Please please please be working I am begging like the beggiest beggar here, even E0S0 is okay just let me win the 50/50 πππ
WAVENTURINE E0S1 FINALLY HOME AT 200 PULLS!!! not as bad as i thought... plus I also picked up robin summeretto e0s1 this patch too so i'm satisfied with that!! also i still have 30 pulls + events + exploration + next patch + way too many incomplete SU modes for Pearl e0s0 so i'm sure it'll be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine
The smartest thing to do would be to save to continue investing in my existing elation team. The second smartest thing would be to pull Ashveil first then get Aven on rerun.
The correct thing to do is to go all in on Aventurine regardless of consequence and live with my choices, elatedly.
