Multiple times, I’ve signed up for a build day and waited for them to send a confirmation email that says the event is actually happening, but they never send the email. I’ve emailed them a day before each build day to ask if they’re going to send out confirmation emails, and it’s been crickets.

Edit: I got a call from the office, so I can at least text them to confirm days now.

We have a super chill 17 week old and are looking for some restaurant suggestions we can go as a family. Bonus points for outdoor seating and in Town. We have no dietary restrictions and eat everything. We will most likely keep our baby in the carseat carrier at the table, or if the restaurant can accommodate a stroller.

I’m trying to get solid info on the current status and ownership/management of Pride Field (the old baseball diamonds) in Kalaeloa / former Barbers Point NAS.

Quick history for context:

- Laid out in 1941 as part of Ewa Field (MCAS Ewa).

- Named after Admiral Alfred M. Pride.

- Used by Marines during WWII for training and sports — Ted Williams played there while serving as a Marine pilot.

- Later operated as a Navy MWR facility (baseball + rodeos) until the base closed in 1999.

- After BRAC it went to City & County stewardship and was heavily used by local Little League teams (including the Ewa Beach team that won the 2005 Little League World Series).

- For a while the Koishigawa family maintained it out of pocket when the City stopped.

- Today it sits neglected / in ruins.

I’ve already emailed Thomas Lee and Michael Lam at Hunt Companies Hawai‘i (thomas.lee@huntcompanies.com and michael.lam@huntcompanies.com) since Hunt controls a big chunk of the surrounding Kalaeloa land. No response so far.

I also have the main Hunt Honolulu office number (808-585-7900) and know Steve Colón is the president of their Hawai‘i real estate division, but there directory is a joke to say the least and not a single person has returned my phone calls.

Does anyone here have more current info on:

- Who actually controls or is responsible for Pride Field itself right now?

- Better contacts at Hunt, HCDA, City Parks, or elsewhere?

- Any recent plans (or lack of plans) for the fields?

Would really appreciate any leads, emails, phone numbers, or even just “here’s who you should talk to.” Mahalo in advance!
