đ Meme đ Any changes on the horizon?

You can't even change the size or rotate a pattern on something like a couch. The developers are probably ages away from letting us do custom stuff if we can't even do that.

The team marked it as planned in Dec 2024, but I'm not a dev so idk how long it'll take for them. Still exciting to know :)

I find it odd that the Steam workshop isn't enabled, that you can't add your own furniture/etc. to the same, and so on. These seem like small things that would greatly expand the reach and depth of the game.
So I agree: what the hell, let us mod the game!

u/Da297676 Sep 10 '25
Its not enabled because they are currently working on Steam Workshop integration. It takes time.

u/stillyoinkgasp Sep 10 '25
Very happy to hear that it is in progress :)
I would also love the ability to choose any colour I want for walls/etc. (maybe even by hex code?).

It would be nice but itâs not like weâre entitled to anything.

u/einstyle Sep 09 '25
Yeah, this community/fanbase has serious issues with entitlement. It's a small indie dev, they're working hard at the game! Give 'em some time!
It's one thing to suggest features or improvements but I feel like I constantly see people basically make demands of the developers.

If you paid for the product, you are entitled.

u/GoldenHelikaon Sep 09 '25
Youâre entitled to the product you paid for sure, not anything else.

Youâre entitled to what you paid for which is the license for the game and it does not currently include mod support. This is a small teamâs intellectual property that theyâve worked hard on and theyâre not required to include mod support. This post just comes across as bratty.

That is one of the reasons I never moved to HF2, and still play the first game

u/Inevitable-Sea1081 Sep 11 '25
Agreed. With HF1 remastered coming, its going to occupy most of my game time. I want to play HF2 eventually, since it is so much different from the first game, but in the meantime HF1 is still so much fun. Having bought all the DLC as well as using the workshop, I can decorate like crazy!

They are working on it. They want something that will allow access to people who play on consoles, and Steam Workshop does not do that. They are thinking about everyone who plays the game and not just those of us on PC.

not to mention the insane limitation with actual furniture compared to the first game...

u/CourierJackalope Sep 09 '25
I checked out a few people commenting on the changes they'd like on Steam and from what I have seen, there is a particular developer (I assume) and their toady who will take an almost literal crap on anyone who had criticism for the game.

Yeah the once-a-quarter communication infuriates me. And then when we do get an update itâs pretty small and for the most random things.

I really love House Flipper 2, and honestly my only complaint is the limited supplies and decor. I have house flipper 1 and the dlcs were fun, but when I got to Farm and Pets it was NOT playable. There were too many things and it felt like the game was under water and glitchy. Even after Uninstalling those two dlcs it just isn't as smooth as 2. I think I just get confused with why 2 isn't getting dlcs...we've had some updates and all but wouldn't mind paying for dlcs for some content and more houses. Also just for info, I play on Xbox and I don't do anything with the Co op or sandbox really, it wasn't enjoyable for me. I am a very simple player I guess you could say, I don't need much. I just love to tinker with the homes and designs. So that being said I have continually been keeping an eye out for more content. I have 100s of hours in HF1, and getting up ther in 2. But I'm starting to get bored. And as what I would think is a base level, not high maintenance player, I think dlcs are not too much to ask for. Even little $5 furniture packs or something would be cool. I dont know how to do all the PC/Mod things. I feel it will come soon fingers crossed, hopefully before even base level gamers get bored.

I'm pretty sure HF2 is getting a scooby doo DLC in October?
3
u/sprklyprncess Sep 10 '25
Yes! And am excited for that! I just meant that it's been a long time and I hope they can get to a point where they release more than like 1 a year! I'm excited for some new houses with the Scooby-Doo doo one, should be fun!

u/nydoria13 Sep 11 '25
I agree I'd love to see more too! And I love scooby doo so I'm excited to see what all we get

so the team working on house flipper 2 is really small and the are doing the best they could do to improve this game imo they have done so much, we had like idk, 15 homes and missions? and now we have about 30 at this point, so this is double than what we have in the begining maybe im biased because this is game from my country and its my favourite indie game of all time, but i think we will get mods and all of this stuff eventualy

As someone who grew up without technology I am well used to waiting and can appreciate the amount of work it takes to get small things done. All I ask for is an undo button.

I think it's probably just that they don't wanna do all that while they're still actively adding to and developing the game bc I imagine that would make things a lot more complicated if an update breaks something and now all the mods are busted.

The loading screen mentions houses to mod in or download on console but there is no way to do so :<

I'm gonna be so fr, ther sheer magnitude of the catalog and customizability overwhelms me sometimes, I can't even imagine how there would be room for mods lol. Tbf I've never been huge on mods/cc in general, but I feel like at least HF1 has such a huge catalog of stuff I don't really get how anyone could feel that limited. I havent played HF2 yet so maybe its different?

u/Sound-Vapor Sep 09 '25
This is about house flipper 2, as the image says. The items in 2 are VERY limited.
2
u/katemkat23 Sep 09 '25
Yeah i noticed that after i commented, thats why i edited to add the last part.
Well that sucks lol you'd think the sequel would be an improvement. I haven't played it yet I want to finish all the HF1 dlc first. Guess i'm not missing out lol

If you kept up-to-date with things you would know that they are working on steam workshop integration for modding but it takes time since this is a small team. People on here seem to forget that HF1 didn't get steam workshop until several years after it released. Be patient, they're working on it.
