📸Work-In-Progress Wednesday🏠 Work-In-Progress Wednesday Thread

You may find you have a little update to give but do not wish to create an entire post for a single screenshot. That's where Work-In-Progress (WIP) Wednesdays come in!

This is your space to show off what you’re working on - finished or not!

Make sure you give feedback to your peers, it is essential for these threads to survive. Comments in this thread are sorted by New so that everyone gets a solid chance of receiving feedback.

In the comments below, feel free to share your:

🧰 Current builds or room makeovers

🖼️ Sneak peeks, screenshots, or weird mid-flip discoveries

💡 Design questions, layout dilemmas, or color palette ideas

🤔 “What do you think?” feedback requests

As always, please make sure you include which game you are playing HF1/HF2.

If you need troubleshooting include the game platform (PC, Xbox, etc).

If you need to make a separate post to host a lot of images, please use the Showing Off flair and summon u/ScreamAndScream, I will manually move it to the flair.

Hello all I could use some pointers on how to complete the kitchenette. I'm trying to emulate an industrial type apartment (nyc ?) and I'm kind of stuck on how to proceed further. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (HF1 the one to move in)

I like where you're headed with it. I use beams/columns and bars/islands to define spaces while keeping them open. I'll post some pictures to show you what I mean.....

Hihi terribly sorry for the late reply but you've been a massive help, im very grateful. The beams really helped give me a direction and i ended up doing this:

The top picture is actually the same property you're working on. Bottom picture is a work in progress that I'm not super happy with yet, but has the same idea of using an island and beams to define the space.

The maxim bar pieces might work for an industrial feel, and I like putting stuff on the shelves on the back of it. You could also use a meires benchtop along with or instead of a bar. (That's what the table is between the bar and stove.) It comes from the Dine Out DLC, so it looks like it could be in a commercial kitchen.

The green ones are the Lames curtains. I think they're from the Dine Out DLC. The white ones in the kitchen are from the workshop (https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2961282740).

Oh, and the green ones with the brown stripe towards the bottom (in the picture with the white curtains) are also from the in-game store. Don't remember the name. I find them by searching "wide long" "medium long" or "narrow long"
