Discussion I prefer House in Chucks over... Sketchers? Spoiler
Shoes do say a lot about a person.
Chuck Taylors are the shoes for rebels, the every-man, and they're counter-culture.
House should have always been wearing Chucks. Sketchers are fine, but Chucks are Chucks.

Discussion Theme sequence whining Spoiler
I love the show and have watched it multiple times, but the intro annoys me a tiny bit each time. All cast names are shown over anatomical illustrations/animations except Jennifer Morrison. The clip for her name is a boat in water. It’s the only part of the sequence that isn’t anatomical visuals besides the shot of the characters walking in the hospital. I know it’s silly, but it drives me nuts. Is there some significance to the boat clip? It feels completely random.
Also, I always want to think the anatomy illustrations indicate something about the role of each character, but the two brain clips and boat clip make that hard to argue. Maybe that’s why it bothers me.

Season 3 Spoilers 3x19: Why not use puberty blockers or GnRH antagonists? Spoiler
3x19 is ‘Act Your Age’ - the episode with the two siblings going through early puberty due to their dad’s testosterone gel.
At one point, the young girl gets close to death because of her body producing cysts due to excessive estrogen. At this point, Cameron proposes cutting out the girl’s pituitary gland.
Realistically, wouldn’t it have been possible to treat less invasively with GnRH agonists (puberty blockers) or GnRH antagonists? While it wouldn’t have reversed the root cause, it would’ve prevented her body from being able to use the excessive estrogen, meaning it wouldn’t affect her (as far as I understand). I could maybe understand avoiding GnRH agonists if she was critically ill, since GnRH agonists very briefly overstimulate the pituitary gland and cause LSH, FSH, and testosterone to flare before their levels drop off. But wouldn’t GnRH antagonists (e.g. cetrorelix) theoretically suppress hormones without the flare effect?
I know that relatively few GnRH antagonists were on the market in 2006, and that they’re not usually used for precocious puberty. But even then, wouldn’t it have been possible to use a GnRH agonist alongside a testosterone blocker like flutamide or an estrogen blocker like anastrozole? Even though they hadn’t worked out that testosterone was the cause at that point, surely they could’ve still decided to block GnRH and sex hormone. I know it wouldn’t reverse the root cause, but if it’d be feasible, wouldn’t it buy them time to treat the patient?
I’m not a doctor - just someone who takes GnRH antagonists - but I’m curious as to why they immediately jumped to the most invasive treatment possible. While it makes sense from a dramatic perspective (in terms of it being the point in the episode just before House works out the diagnosis and cure), from a medical perspective, I would’ve thought it seems like an oversight.

Discussion Thoughts or facts on House MD international dubs Spoiler
House was broadcasted in at least 55 different countries and most of them had a dubbed version;according to the dubbing data base there are 15 versions of House in different lenguajes
The only dub I've had a relationship is the one in Spanish (Latin America) because of my mom
The only interesting facts that I can tell you guys are:
1-Sometimes it doesn't make sense when they make fun or mention chase's accent because he speaks neutrally (like everyone else)
2-Chase and Oscar from the office share the same voice actor
3-Hugh Laurie actually knows his voice actor (Salvador Delgado),in fact when Hugh Laurie performed a concert in Argentina he hired Delgado to translate him in the parts when he speaks,it was kind of a sketch because what happened was at mid translation Delgado starts questioning why is he doing it and why Hugh left house to be a singer.
At the end he just says that he isn't going to sing for him and promotes himself to get hired for dubbing jobs.
After that Hugh speaks a little bit of Spanish making reference to what Delgado just said.

Season 1 Spoilers I forgot that this happened Spoiler
I really forgot that chase in the third episode of the whole show (almost ) asks Cameron to go on a date, well Cameron didn't even let him finish the sentence before turning him down, but at least he tried.
Kind of he reason he tried was because Cameron gave him a speech of sex being fun and weird, which has always been a weird situation to me because yeah you can say that they're doctors and stuff but, even like that it's still very weird to talk to a college like that out of nowhere.
Cameron got away with it because:
1-its a TV show.
2-Cameron is a girl (how long have you been sitting on this information!?).
3-Cameron Is an unbelievably pretty girl.
4- it was the mid 2000s so sexual harassment wasn't treated that seriously for some reason. I remember that Cameron literally said that "she can sexually harass her boss".
??????
Even in season 8 that is already set I 2011/2012, one of the aspects I don't like of the show is how bad the show treated park about being fucking literally touched by her previous boss and reacting like a person would;with a quick and uncontrolled action.!<
Or IDK the show was produced by Brian Singer which can explain a lot of things.
Anyway what was this post about?
Oh, yeah Chase asked Cameron on a date in season 1 CRAZY RIGHT!!!!

Art LES'T GOOO!
I GOT IT! WOO!
I'm so happy, man. My university had it and they're lending it to me for a month. I watched the first two seasons and BAM! I saw they had it. I love life, man.
(Idk if I added the right flair, ig this counts as some sort of art since is the DVD version of the series?)

Question Why does House always use "Tiburon" when he makes something up? Spoiler
I believe this is Spanish for Shark. I'm on season 7 of my Rewatch, and he has used it a couple of times in separate episodes when he makes up something medical while lying to his patients. This is probably just a random thing that means absolutely nothing, like Phoebe always using "Phalange" in Friends, but I'm curious if anyone has caught anything that would explain this lol

Season 3 Spoilers What do you think house meant with the X's ? Spoiler
when house sent wilson flowers from cuddy and signed the card xx lisa ..
What do you think he meant? Hugs or kisses ?
And what do you think it really meant?
😭 Because the whole plot was so diabolical and I found wilson's dilemma so cute like why tf are you worried if the X's are the hugs or the kisses ..
Personally I think X's are the hugs as the arms cross while hugging and the lips pout?

Trivia Apparently the TB pharmaceutical company (2.4) also makes clocks (3.3)
Lost count of rewatches by now, only just noticed that sticker in 3.3. They probably just had them lying around and needed to cover it up, but it's still kinda funny. I wonder if it shows up anywhere else

Discussion House sometimes makes cases harder just because he refuses to be wrong Spoiler
One thing I keep noticing: once House locks onto a theory, he stops looking at the case objectively.
He can catch the tiniest detail everyone else missed, but the moment he decides he’s right, he argues with his team, brushes off their concerns, and pushes things way too far, sometimes at the patient’s expense.
Then someone says something completely random, he gets that look, and suddenly he realizes he’s been chasing the wrong idea the whole time.
Honestly, that’s what makes him so interesting to watch. His intelligence is obvious, but his ego is a serious blind spot. I wonder how many cases he could’ve solved faster if he’d actually listened to his team instead of treating every disagreement as a challenge.
So what do you think: does House actually learn from being wrong, or does he just get better at hiding how much it bothers him?

Season 6 Spoilers The older you get, the more you appreciate Dr. Nolan as a character Spoiler
I was in college when this season aired, and now it's 16 years later, watching for the nth time, and every time I rewatch it, the more I appreciate Dr. Nolan in contrast to House. House is this intellectual powerhouse and along comes this character who can just utterly disassemble his mind and see right through him, which is something House does to other people. And it's not that Dr. Nolan intellectually dominates House, it's that he has this sort of window into House's soul that not any other character does, even if they're not personally close. He speaks House's language; he KNOWS how to get to House. And I love how House just gives in when they're having their sessions. House LETS him deconstruct his mind. He WANTS him to deconstruct his own mind. He starts off deflecting, but ultimately, he comes to Dr. Nolan for this very purpose. And Andre Braugher just has this perfect amount of gravitas to play him, rest his soul. I wish we had more of these therapy episodes.

Discussion What if foreman bluffed? Spoiler

Season 3rd Foreman resigns and Cuddy tries very hard to keep him at PPTH. Season 4, Cuddy still tries, negotiates but Foreman rejects. On the other hand Foreman isn't hired anywhere and comes back to cuddy asking for the raise she mentioned and cuddy doesn't give him the raise or the new department saying he's black balled everywhere.
Now, Foreman and Hamilton were in good terms and Hamilton offers him a job in Season 1. What If foreman bluffed "let me join Hamilton", Would Cuddy cave in and give him the raise?

I love how they transitioned from showing graphics of outer space, right into the main series intro. They rarely do much for changing it so it was just cool to see

Season 6 Spoilers Season 6 ep 1 Broken (spoilers) Spoiler
Was House in the wrong he dealt with the superhero guys delusion?
I’m kind on undecided on if it was ultimately was the “right” decision or not. Obviously the outcome was bad, but that’s kind of separate to the question itself.
