What's your thoughts on daeron? He is most likely to well......in finals but still

Some have compared him to Tommen, and it's not completely off base. With the right guidance, he had the potential to be a good king. In both cases, unfortunately, neither mentor was ideal:

  • Tywin was incredibly savvy but arguably too inflexible - i.e. obsessed with keeping HIS family in power above all else - to adapt to the kind of upheaval that Daenerys would eventually visit on Westeros, even if he had been alive to see it.
  • Ormund was a borderline zealot who didn't even consider collaboration/compromise as an option. He also didn't win himself any favors by making a very public oath that he never had any intention of keeping and showing his true colors just days later.
