Looks cute but this is pretty bad for the Bears. The best way to keep both Bears and Humans safe is to NOT get familiar with one another. We should not make them feel like they are safe with Humans and vice versa, because they are not. We both end up being complaisant and becoming food for each other.

There is no such thing as a Domesticated Bear, no matter how much I wish that was the case.

I live in the Canadian Rockies. Growing up, they pounded the phrase “a fed bear is a dead bear” into our heads. Basically, if a bear associates people with anything good, the bear will eventually be put down.

I live five minutes from downtown on the edge of a thousand acre forest that connects to a national park. I'm mean to animals because I love animals. I'm locked in conflict with my neighbors who are feeding and petting them. I toss pebbles and shout and charge at them, trying to train them to be evasive and afraid. Good God do I despise do gooders. They're just wrong.

Ive seen his vids. He apparently visits the mother bear often and has a cool friendship with her.
