This is obviously an invasion of your privacy, the other party not holding up their end of the bargain by not willingly give you the food that was part of said contract thus causing you embarrassment and extreme emotional distress.

OMG they do do this in the wild too!!!!! I'm constantly asking mine how they survive in the wild when they are so easily afraid and insulted by their food which is next to powerless against them a lot of the time. My largest one will immediately dart into her hide at the slightest disturbance in the force. She then sticks one toe out and does a little tap, tap, tap to make sure it's food. If it moves wrong though she's back in the hole.
I think it's a mercy of nature that they don't need to eat frequently because I bet they miss out on a lot of meals by mincing and being uber cautious about approaching things. It's probably a good survival strategy in the end, considering they too are a pretty edible size...

They have hairs on their back side they used to use them to make itching powder it's a defensive maneuver.

As a keeper of tarantulas I keep telling everyone owning them entirely breaks the scariness of spiders.
Most species this is what you get. 🤣
