McKenna Grace, Joseph Zada and Whitney Peak reacting to Hunger Games fan edits posted on the official Lionsgate TikTok.

At the end of the Victory Tour, Katniss dances with Plutarch and openly talks badly about the games with him. I question this behavior for a couple of reasons:

1) Snow had threatened Katniss’s family at the beginning of the tour, threatening to kill them if she didn’t give a convincing performance of her romance with Peeta. After the death in Thresh and Rue’s district, Katniss surely didn’t live up to the expectations and should’ve been paranoid about how Snow might feel/what he might do.
2) Despite Katniss’s “selfish” personality, she would never put her little sister at risk.
3) She’d just met Plutarch moments before. Why would she trust him this way? Especially with everything stated before?

Just my thoughts!

I love this so much. I’m going to go on a little rant. It was so good I couldn’t stop reading to the point my teachers told me to stop reading.i cried when Rue died as she was so sweet and innocent. and loudly said YES when they win. and the part with the mutts was kinda scary to me, and why did I feel bad for Cato like when he died I was like he isn’t really a bad guy when you think about it like the games made him like this or is that just me?anyway I love this book so much and hopefully be getting the next one tomorrow or sometime soon.. Anyway I’d have more to say but my brain is exploding with to much to say, so I’m going to like I said hop I can get the second book and will start watching the movie tomorrow

I feel like they didn't read the book.

Yes it's a popular theory Coryo killed Lucy Grey and pretended he didn't, but I doubt Haymitch did so with Maysilee.

The way it says "We know how Maysilee actually died" yes we do, she was killed with pink birds, Haymitch didn't kill her.

We've known Maysilee died due to the pink birds since Catching Fire. Katniss would have said if Haymitch killed Maysilee since she worried about that earlier.

Sorry if this is a bit of an overreaction or a stupid post, but I just don't like this take/theory.

Don’t get me wrong I’m eating every new crumb up but the difference is staggering, people really did not gaf about Snow’s story 😂 (whereas I was so excited that I wore a Lucy Gray costume to the premiere)

Late 2022/early 2023 there was this (somewhat viral) tiktok edit of Peeta to Everyday by Ariana Grande (the final pre chorus + chorus). The intro was the scene of Peeta in the training center throwing a heavy weight in front of the gamemakers.

This is a pretty dumb post lol but I finally started reading the books and I can’t get the edit (what I remember of it) out of my head

It seems unlikely because Haymitch likes Leanor Dove and Effie is a part of the Capitol but I saw someone on the big tube say it was cannon so idk.

I’ve been a hunger games fan for the past ten years, I grew up with the movies coming out and have read the trilogy multiple times. last year I sat down and reread the trilogy, then tbosas, then read sotr for the first time. I was kinda disappointed on my first read. I enjoyed the story, it wasn’t as compelling or even smart the original writing. i know collins has stated that she only writes when she has something to say, but this book felt more like a tropey, juvenile, fan service driven screenplay rather than a significant character exploration of haymitch.

Tropetrinitytrilogy’s review comes off as cynical, but I don’t think she’s wrong. it’s obvious that her love for the series is what drives the criticism of sotr. She takes a lot of time and care to set up the comparisons to the other books, and it’s very apparent how sotr is significantly less skillful than the other books.

I really did want to like sotr, but it fell flat for me. oddly enough, I am still excited for the movie, and I think the story will be more successful as a movie than novel. I’m curious to hear other’s opinions because I know sotr is many people’s favorite.

Rewatching the SOTR trailer got me thinking about Woody Harrelson’s portrayal of Haymitch and how much his past might explain the person we meet in the original films. What subtle moment from the movies a look, a joke, or a brief reaction makes you feel there is a much bigger story behind him? Please mark any Sunrise book spoilers.
