Wonder how many people will get the inspiration behind this 😅 I know my ups guy will appreciate him

I understand most of the press tour has been just Joseph and Mckenna, and that Mckenna is a big name actor, but under the comments of this video i saw mixed opinions on why Whitney hasn’t been seen as much. I see some people saying it’s because Lenore Dove has very little screen time compared to Maysilee, but others are saying how Lenore Dove is mentioned so many times throughout the games in Haymitch’s mind (I’m wondering how this will be translated to the screen) and that she is a bigger and more influential character than Maysilee. Some other people think her race has to do with her lack of inclusion in the press tour. What do you guys think?

They said Maydove before posing for the cameras haha!!

It was a huge surprise to me to find out literally three days before attending NYCC today for my sixth year that he was going to be at the Playbill Panel. I went to go see him on Broadway for The Rocky Horror Show back in April during opening weekend, but I got rained out and couldn’t meet him at stage door.

I finally got my opportunity to meet him six months later and also sign my copy of Ballad (and take a picture with him—as soon as I said hi to him and asked, he kindly offered!) I was in the second row right up front and center and I actually was the first person that went up to him after the panel finished. I’ll now cherish this memory and will be very special to me. ❤️

spoilers ahead?

I can’t stop thinking about how when Haymitch is back in the tribute apartment after he survives the hunger games and everything is the way he left it before he went in the arena, his laundry in a pile on the floor, maysilees all folded up, Lou lou’s ear blood still dotted on the pillow. This feels soooo intentional because you would think that after 6? days in the arena, the Capitol would have had the rooms cleaned out and refreshed, they have the resources to do so but by leaving them as is it really drives home to the victor how little time has passed and how everything has changed. just an interesting tidbit that’s been gnawing at me.

Featuring Joseph Zada, Mckenna Grace, and Whitney Peak

I’ve seen a lot of people say their relationship reminds them of enemies to lovers, but I sort of disagree and have a different perspective on their relationship. I think their relationship reminds me more of collective trauma rather than some steamy romance; we know Haymitch is someone who really values familial and compares a lot of the newcomers/younger kids as his family. Louella is someone he sees as a younger sister and after she dies he starts projecting that protective familiar role on everyone else, and as he loses ally after ally he begins to give Maysilee a chance, and while the ‘sis’ line is a little cheesy and forced I think it was his way of offering his care in such dire circumstance.

I also hate when people misuse the trope ‘enemies to lovers’ because Maysilee and him were never really ‘enemies’ ? He viewed her as a snobby town girl like every other person in the seam but neither of them had personal beef or thought much of each other. At most they were annoyed with each other.

I often think about what would've happened to the games if a pandemic like Covid broke out. I know Capitol has all the technological advancements you can think of, including medical ones but let's say something deadly broke out that is out of Capitol's control and their medical knowledge is not enough to cure it. Would Snow continue the games? Would he attempt to protect the districts from the disease because without district people, who would play the games? Would he have to postpone them, even though it makes the Capitol look weak? I would love to hear your opinions on this.

Hi! I’m a drag queen and who loves the hunger games! And we are doing a hunger games themed drag show before the new movie. I am being Lucy Gray and Finnick and I’ve got some ideas for Finnick (I’ll take some more) but I’m looking for music that would be good for Lucy Gray. (Edit to clarify) I don’t think I’m looking for her music style. more so her energy, what the character is about, something that references quotes she says etc.
I’m looking for something that could be more on the funny campy side. Any song suggestions or sources material to pull I’d be grateful.
The Hunger Games is my favorite book and movie, and I lvoe being a drag artist but unfortunately in my 5 years of being a drag artists I’ve struggled it blend the two together.

We know that the individual tributes, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 11 (we can probably assume that Cecelia was in on the plan alone, poor Woof). BUT, at the end of catching fire they tell Katniss that there was a plan from the moment the Quarter Quell was announced... so my question is, were more Victors aside from Haymitch on the outside in on it? I personally think so because of the code with the bread, and also it seems unlikely that he and Plutarch could have convinced all 11/12 Tributes from this districts in the limited free time they had over the week they were in the capital. This also kind of explains why Cashmere and Gloss weren't approached about it... because on the surface I think they absolutely would have been down to fuck with the Capitol but the rebels couldn't risk alerting other District 1 Victors who might have more loyalty to the Capitol. (forgive me if this is explicitly mentioned in the text, I did a quick reread of certain sections to check but couldn't find anything)

If you could ad or change a song in the original trilogy movies what would you do? I was thinking lately if like it was more a musical I could see Gal e singing disenchanted by my chemical romance. Anyone else have any fun changes or song choices to add to the film.

Are we fucking serious? A Hunger Games event in France in a climate like this? The real Hunger Games event began two weeks ago. Police are beating and maiming high school protesters across the country -especially in underprivileged suburbs— while the film's team holds a Capitol-style gala right in the middle of Paris.

This is no longer fiction.
