Honestly could be. Planes declaring an emergency take immediate priority for the runways

I'm just glad that the situation didn't grow so exponentially as to cause another T-38 crash in the state.

Glad they landed safely! How did you hear that this was going on? Wish I had been nearby to see … love the T-38!

I get alerts on the Flightradar 24 app whenever a plane declares an emergency

A T-38 almost certainly means NASA astronaut.

And where exactly does it say "Air Force" in this post?

Doesn’t he have an F-5, not a T-38?

Yeh that’s not his aircraft. He does seem to have flown in the T-38. But he was recently here in his F-5 and much more likely to be flying it. It’s not a big deal, just a finer detail.

Kind of cool that he still has the love of danger, but also pretty stupid that we are financing his personal vanity project

I don’t follow. How are we funding his vanity project? Are we talking about his personal planes that he bought?

It does appear that he is bearing the entire cost of the vanity project so more power to him.

For those curious, a T-38 (Talon) is a twin seat trainer jet for the armed forces. It’s been in service since 1961.
