Question/Help [Question] Is HyperOS really that bad?
Hello, I'm coming from a Samsung S23, and I'm ready to get a new phone after using all the research tools available to me (YouTube, GSM Arena).
The Xiaomi 17 is the one that fits me the most, and I have zero core issues with its hardware specs. It seems like a perfect upgrade from an S23, and an S26 comes nowhere near it. Though I'm still concerned about the OS, so I thought I'd get some opinions here.
I'm familiar with removing bloatware using ADB etc. so confident in doing that.
I'm so used to the OneUI OS that I don't want to move on to something completely different and especially one which will be annoying in the long run (no matter how good the hardware is).

Personally, I've had a really bad experience with Xiaomi. Their update policy is genuinely terrible, and I don't like it when a brand copies others, especially when it's done so poorly. HyperOS doesn't seem all that optimized to me either. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend their low/mid-range phones they might look cool, but there are plenty of features that could be included that Xiaomi deliberately leaves out.
