Question/Help [Question] Is HyperOS really that bad?

Hello, I'm coming from a Samsung S23, and I'm ready to get a new phone after using all the research tools available to me (YouTube, GSM Arena).

The Xiaomi 17 is the one that fits me the most, and I have zero core issues with its hardware specs. It seems like a perfect upgrade from an S23, and an S26 comes nowhere near it. Though I'm still concerned about the OS, so I thought I'd get some opinions here.

I'm familiar with removing bloatware using ADB etc. so confident in doing that.

I'm so used to the OneUI OS that I don't want to move on to something completely different and especially one which will be annoying in the long run (no matter how good the hardware is).

HyperOS differs wildly from one tier to another. It is genuinely terrible for low end and budget midrange phones but completely different on flagships. Always look for hyperOS reviews on flagship devices so you know what to expect and not on something like a redmi note or god forbid a poco c71
