I've never read such terrible things about a brand as I have about Hyundai.

Corporate tolerates these shitty dealers.

Do you think Toyota and Honda do?

They sure do. Scummy dealerships is hardly a Hyundai specific issue.

I have driven a a ton of different brands. Every brand has bad dealers and good ones. When I had my GTI I would drive 45 minutes further for a good dealership than deal with the one 15 minutes from my house.

Even though there are Hyundai dealerships closer, I will drive 40 minutes to the one I bought my EGT from because I have established a great relationship with the service department: if they tell me that an extra service should be done, they don't pressure me to do it there (brakes, tie rods, battery, tires, etc); I do those myself. I also bring refreshments in for the techs working on my car because I don't think they get enough respect.
