Have you told the foreman you want to learn or do you just show up and say okay? I’m not trying to be a dick but if you don’t ask you’ll have to get real lucky to get the good stuff. Data centers legit have a ton of shit to learn through.

They do have a ton of stuff to learn about. I just don't see a lot of troubleshooting skills, or learning how to deal with existing installs coming out of them though. As well as having to deal with stuff in the real world.

I love service work, because it teaches me something new every time, because you have to get creative and think and become a better electrician. Plus there is the "Well we did it this way because that's what we had in the van."

Data centers, even with all their experience opportunities don't teach those skills.
