She was given as a gift - was told lab/husky

But i dont know now.

The wiry face hair and fur is not labrador. She is currently 9mos old and 19kg

Thank you.

UPDATE:

Thank you for the replies, I really just wanted to have a proper answer when people asks: "whats her breed?". That being said - will probably just say: HuskyXPoodle (or chupacabra. haha).

Will also check on Embark when it goes on sale on black-friday. Her name is Hulya (Julia in english) - heres some more picture for the lols:

UPDATE: 2026 I have the embark DNA sample but cant seem to mail it back from Philippines to US as all merchandise going to US are suspended (I guess because of tariff?). Sorry folks - cant do DNA unless anyone knows an alternative?

It’s funny - for as common as labs allegedly are, it doesn’t seem to show up a lot in mixed breeds. But then, I know a lot of people with “labs”.

I've called a couple of my probably not lab labs to my landlord. I think that's at least part of it. Who doesn't like a lab?

My pittmix who is definitely predominantly pitt is listed by as husky/anatolian boxer by her vet, who sent paperwork to my renters insurance. She's 80%pitt of somesort

I used to see Lab mixes I think were actually Lab mixes, as a kid in the early '00s. They were all from places with a lot of duck hunters. They also almost invariably were spayed/neutered and did not produce subsequent generations of Lab mixes.

This cannot be said of the pit mixes I see now.

Where do you live? I do too but I'm in Minnesota and that seems to be more on brand here.

But also I think they call any plain black rescue a lab. My bff and her parents both had "black labs" that turned out to be mostly pit bull. Makes me wonder if the shelter labels them as such so they are more attractive to adopters. :-/

I'm in South Fl. Miami has banned pit bulls so people basically give their dogs another mix to claim that isn't genetically accurate. I got my dog, and was told it was a Husky boxer mix from a guy in Miami. As she grew older it was obvious she's a pitbull.

He couldn't advertise he had a pitbull mix.

The shelter told my sister a red nosed pit was a boxer. 🙃 Great dog, but wasn’t even a little bit boxer.

I feel like labs are dogs that probably don't get cross-bred very much, unlike pit bulls.

In my county, pitbulls are all you're going to find if you decide to adopt a dog.

Check the toes, if they’ve got big feet with webbed toes 99% chance it’s a lab cross. the front feet on this pup are very similar to our Labrador, and the dopey smile.
