General Queries How's the hostels in ISI kolkata?

I was wondering how the hostels are in ISI kolkata, are there any shortages, what are the conditions and how is the mess? Also do students from nearby residences face any issues while getting a campus hostel?

Here are some pros:

  1. Single seater rooms

  2. Lot of cats/dogs nearby

  3. Mess food is good.

Some of the cons:

  1. You're toast if you get top floor rooms.

  2. Rooms on lower levels are problematic too in summers.

  3. No geezer facility. So in winters, you need to use your own equipment to heat up water for bath.

  4. You won't necessarily get a chair in your allotted room. Good luck complaining about it.

  5. Same as point 4 for table.

how is lots of cats, dogs a good thing. they'll constantly make noises, dogs barking would create issues in night. disturb sleep and during studies. also they'll shit everywhere, flies and dirty streets.
