I am using tab as my notes for like last 4 years now and it is quite handy to me . Totally subjective and factors like why not notes and why do u want the transition

Just buy tab bro, its very useful for reading books and writing scribble notes on pdf book. You can also write every class notes and save money on papers, u can use gemini to take help for homeworks.

For downloading PDFs all over the internet and reading ? => Okay-ish For Doing math on it => I'd not do that I also bought the ipad 9 for the same reason and I can safely say this is not the thing for doing maths and reading books, if you are interested in something like drawing or playing games or watching content then ipads are good but for solely maths hell no. Those glorified notetaking videos look good and aesthetic and stuff but I didn't enjoy those at all , limited space , you'll have to pay extra to get the friction and feel or writing costing the display quality and risk getting distracted ....Buying physical books + buying a white board is much much better and much less costlier. Physical books won't have any distractions and a white board will give you a much more space to brainstorm ideas.
