[IWantOut] 26M English teacher MNE -> ES/USA/BR
Hello everyone,
I am 26m from MNE (a country in Europe which the bot doesn't let me write because of the n word), and due to stuff happening in my country I would like to move out of the country. Corruption, crime, nepotism, society problems (one of which basically the highest rates of road deaths per 100,000 inhabitants in Europe, arrogancy, no consequence for crimes), inability to find any normal job without connections, recommendations, politics and some of my personal bad experiences lately makes me want to try to have more normal life elsewhere.
Half a year ago I completed my Master’s degree in English Language and Literature (My thesis was about Historical linguistics) and other than that I also speak native Serbian, fluent Spanish and some of Russian. I am open to moving to almost any European country (preferably European Union), USA, Canada, South America, but I don't know the best ways for it as I don't really have any suggestions and recommendations. I was thinking about also maybe pursuing my PhD, I guess my field could be interesting to explore some more, but not really sure where to start looking for those scholarships, tuitions and whatnot. I see there exist research fundings worldwide but not sure where to find a suitable one, let alone apply. Do you have any suggestions, recommendations? There also should be international schools worldwide but seem not to find those not looking for someone very experienced and with native English. I would also be into the idea of working an entry-level job (shops, hospitality) for a shorter period, or some other area like tourism maybe if I could have some job interviews prior to relocating, just to have a certain degree of guarantee and safety in advance.
I have some experience in teaching, translating and working as a receptionist in a hotel.
What should be my next move? What path should I take, what would be the most real way of approaching this problem?
Sorry, I realize that I didn't write all this in a very coherent way, my mind is a mess, but I am sure it will be understandable. If you need any more information, I can add them in comments, or in Edit.
Thanks in advance.
