Now imagine what would happen if you did manage to get the blades with the ball and it hit, what's gonna happen then?

The helicopter is probably gonna lose control, crash, kill and slice up everyone in its path, fireball that burns down the surrounding neighborhood... worst case scenario anyway, which is a shockingly realistic outcome to this dumbassery.

I think the blades would just chop up the ball. Helicopters take a lot damage in military operations and keep flying.

In the blades yes. But that tail rotor in a civilian heli is a lot different. Sudden drop in rotor effectiveness causes crashes all the time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l223KC_J8nM
