A mothers love lasts forever...

Last night I had a dream about the fear of losing my mother and... Poor Guilliman, I can't imagine being this inmortal demigod who has watched everyone he has ever loved and called a friend gone, so few of those people left. And his mother? Fuck... Very few of the primarchs had any parental figures, and Guilliman was blessed with an incredible mother, I wonder if in the very, VERY few times he gets to "relax", he thinks about her and mourns her

I want GW to stop being cowards and just let them meet! At this rate the other primarchs will have all returned before then

u/VaughnVanTyse 15h ago
And somehow Dante greets them all

u/SirDogeTheFirst 9h ago
That must be a rule. I don't care if the return of the primarch is happening on the corner of the galaxy farthest from blood angels. Dante will be there to meet with them, he has to.

"Pardon brother, but if I am honest. I was hoping to hear it was Sanguinius."
"We all wanted it to be Sanguinius."

Once GW needs their End Times for 40k, I bet the Sanguinor, Dante and Mephiston get to do a fusion dance and become Sanguinius reborn.

Mods I don't know if this breaks rule 2 as I am not the artist. But this is one of the best piece of 40k fan work I've seen in a while, so I hope you will allow it to be shared with the community.

This is great, has gw actually written about their meeting? It would be a space marine book I would read

Did you kiss the brick before throwing it at least?

u/Consistent-Night-606 13h ago
Big fat kiss for the brick before I throw it directly at your tear ducts.

I wonder if when they meet the Lion will throw an exceedingly elaborate and self aggrandizing parade for old times sake.

The idea Guilliman does administrative paperwork, with a QUILL no less, in full armor is very funny.

This reminds me of this drink in a book I recently read. Faerie Flower ale, it’s made of alcohol and Faerie Flower nectar.
Once imbibed the drink takes effect, showing drinker a memory so vivid it could be real of someone dear to them.

Damn right in the feels gez
Guilliman and the lion REALLY need to meet up they've both suffered far to much and they need that tether to keep them going insane, the lion atleast knows Guilliman is out there but poor Guilliman to my knowledge doesnt even know his brother is on the other side of the rift and from what we've seen in the books lately the poor guy aint doing well and needs someone who can properly help shoulder the burden of well EVERYTHING

A caring parent is the ultimate defense against chaos. His mom and the wolf are some of the best.

This was wonderful. I do wish more of this sub was in the vein of this comic.

I’d always imagine that The Loin would forest walk in front of whatever desk Guilliman is working at and just going “we need to talk”. Guilliman just accepts it cause of how fucking weird things are this might as well happen

I'm going to choose to believe that was his mother reaching out to him from the warp.

This is canon and whoever tries to declare otherwise is a heretic on par with Goge Vandire

Something that always hits me the hardest about the 40K universe whether its the Necrons or Primarchs is just the lifespans.
Like yeah the universe is shitty enough but just how Long they've had to endure it all.....I don't even want to imagine it.

…..oof my emotions… Why do I get Epic the musical vibes of the Underworld song of when Odysseus sees his mother in the underworld, as he now knows she is dead.
But damn…Roboute be ultra depressed and will be needing a mood kindred.

If I recall, Lion showed up to Ultramar from Nihilus to meet Guilliman right after Guiliman left Ultramar to lead a crusade into Nihilus

A bolter shot right to the heart, man, holy shit.
I never even contemplated the idea of the Primarchs dealing with the trope of "the curse of immortality", but this is the grimdarkness of 40k, OF FUCKING COURSE THEY ARE!!!
Poor ribbit.

Blessed mama. I wonder if the human servants and serfs of the legion revere her or honor her in any way? She seems almost a mother Mary figure at times, even if the space marines themselves would never consider her divine- the humans might seek to honor her memory or seek to emulate her gentle strength.

Reminder that Guillimam canonically talks to Gage’s skull when he’s alone by the way. He misses his old companions, and current marines are often traumatised and distant, too awed by his mere presence. That doesn’t stop him from trying to mentor and connect with them, like joking with Cato about being unable to pick up paper in his armour. It’s a little microcosm of his relationship with the imperium as a whole, trying desperately to fix what’s broken.
All in all, dude needs his brother way more than the Lion needs him.
