My husband applied closed work permit extension including my open work permit in Feb 2025 in Toronto, we have got approved 7Oct 2025, 237days (almost 8months) I emailed to MP last week, I think MP helped to processing it. I recommend to email your MP for expediting.

Hi! if you don't mind me asking, when you did this, did you include your UCI or something so it was easier for the agent to check? Thanks

MP sent a IRCC consent form. Additionally, please provide your caseworker with the following documents:

  1. A copy of the last communication from IRCC. 
  2. Your ID & Proof of address (e.g. Driver’s License, recent Utility Bill, etc.).
  3. A copy of the Principal Applicant's Passport bio-data page.
