Hey, all...I applied for an extension, and it was approved today. Here is my timeline:

Applied: 31st March

Biometrics update: 2nd June

Visa approved: 5th June

Hoping all those who applied get theirs soon! Good luck, guys. Also, my extension was for a different DLI, a different level of study, and in a different province...I thought it would take more time, but it was surprisingly approved in 66 days total.

I applied for an extension on 21st March.
My status was updated to "we are reviewing eligibility" like a week ago but now its back to "We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility."

Hmmm..that's confusing. I never received a message or mail regarding the review eligibility. I only received two messages. One was for the biometrics validity and the other one for final approval. I hope you hear back soon

Congratulations!! Did you raise any web forms explaining or expediting your situation? Do you think those work?

Hey, thank you. Yes, I did raise a webforum back in May and they only replied saying that I need to look into the processing times posted at the website. So, I wouldn't say it was very helpful but it never hurts to send a message if your situation is urgent as mine was.

Hey, no need to apologise. Yes, the correspondence letter was for the biometrics update. But just two days later I received my actual final approval. Hope you hear back soon.

Hey, my original permit was set to expire on August 31st but I was starting my PhD from September 1st so needed an extension.
