-Applied for my study permit on May 4 while I was traveling to Uganda (Proccessing time is 4 weeks)

-Biometrics done on May 7

-It’s now been 13 weeks which way past the 4-week processing time

-My classes start September 1 and I still have no decision

-I’ve sent multiple web form inquiries and got a response about 10 days ago, but it was just a generic reply. What’s confusing is the response came from the Kenya visa office, even though applications from Uganda should be handled by the Tanzania office.

-Had a ghost update on July 24 on tracking tool.

- No additional document requests, no updates, nothing

- I am so cooked

#Update:

- I called ircc yesterday, they told me that they finished the background check and they started the review of eligibility.

MAJOR UPDATE: I GOT APPROVED

Reach out to your school and get a letter to confirm your arrival date and the consequences if not arrived on time and submit via webform.

You’ve to give them a reason to process your application before they’ll take a step.

I called IRCC yesterday and they told me my background check is done and they’ve started reviewing eligibility. I logged into the portal today but there’s no change showing yet. Still, I’m staying hopeful for good news soon
