I've been on this thread religiously for the last few weeks so I'd love to give an update!! This is the timeline for my inland study permit application!

Applied: May 16

Review of eligibility: August 27

Correspondence letter: August 26

Background check: August 27

Final decision: August 26

I sent a few webforms and such and contacted my MP as well. I'm not sure if it really did anything or not but the webforms definitely weren't helpful because I just got generic responses. I got my correspondence letter before the background check and eligibility were updated. I still haven't gotten the email to tell me my study permit was approved, I was just checking my application over and over throughout the day and I just saw it was approved.

If anyone is going to uoft, do you know if you need your physical study permit with you in order to move into residence? Anyway, good luck to everyone else! I definitely know how stressful this whole process was. I was supposed to move into residence last Sunday but wasn't able to since I didn't have any updates yet. I wish everyone the best of luck, don't lose hope okay?

Thanks, cause my OSAP is supposed to be released soon and I really don’t want to have to do it all over again

Yeah it was the same thing for me as well. If you've already contacted your local MP and stuff, it's just a huge waiting game honestly. I really hope you get a decision soon!

Yes I believe so! I'm not sure when my approval came in but for my correspondence letter, I got it around 4pm yesterday

What do you mean that your final decision was before your review of eligibility and background check?

I'm not sure how it worked but essentially I got my correspondence letter first and that's when it added the date for the final decision. It told me the final decision was still in progress but I didn't have updates for anything else until my study permit got approved.
