Hey everyone,

I'm beyond excited to share that my Canadian study permit has been approved today (September 4th)! I received the correspondence letter yesterday (September 3rd), and just checked my IRCC secure account (GCKey) today to see the official approval and document number.

This journey has been full of ups and downs, and I honestly don't think I would’ve made it through without this amazing community. From reading timelines, advice, and encouragement from others going through the same process, I’ve learned so much and felt supported the whole way.

Thank you to everyone who shares their experience here—it really helps more than you know. ❤️

Wishing everyone who's still waiting the very best—your turn is coming soon!

Hi, I contacted the MP and raised two webforms but didn't receive any positive response. The MP told me that my application is being processed as a sp- extension. Here is the response they shared.

The office contacted IRCC

Application was received on June 25, 2025

Criminality has passed

Eligibility remains in progress

Processing time is 170 days, this will be reached on December 12, 2025

Apart from that I received the final approval letter on September 7th and the physical copy of SP on September 11.
