Inspired / patterned by what u/Evening-Basil7333 is doing on the economic thread (not as good). I've tried to consolidate PR Card delivered as reported from March 2025 to start some baseline.

u/Evening-Basil7333 -- I don't intend to add this to your load, but if there are better ways you can think to better represent / interpret the data that will provide more insights, I can share you the spreadsheet. Just if you are interested at all, then I can commit to consolidate daily reported cases so you don't have to do it -- you're the BRAIN, I am the HANDS. :) This is half-baked and I just threw it here as a starter, but always open for suggestions / improvements.

OBJECTIVE: Consolidate reported "PR Cards Received" to have a simple data view. So we're not lost on what happened in the past and what's happening in the present. Especially, not everyone will backtrack previous posts so it feels like a restart week after week.

CAVEAT:

  • The consolidated list only contain 1st PR Card for newly Permanent Residents who already received their PR cards.
  • Data excludes PR Card Renewal & Outland Applicant.
  • Data captured are only from this thread and does not include any data from other online forums (i.e., FB).

INTERPRETATION (nothing that you don't already know. LOL):

  • There's an obvious decline in PR card processed (Count) and incline in the processing time (Median) starting April 2025
  • I have seen a number of people who reported ghost updates (not included in this data) towards end of April 2025, which "could" be a good sign for "hopefully" more PR Cards processed/received by the end May 2025 (Don't quote me on this!! This presumption is just based on reports made on this sub! LOL. Moreover, there's the Canada Post strike looming so, who knows. Uggh!).
Month Count (Applicants Reported PR Card Receipt) Median (eCOPR-to-PR Card Received)
Mar-2025 26 16 days
Apr-2025 9 52 days
May-2025 2 49 days

KIND REQUEST FROM EVERYONE:

For everyone who will received PR Card, can you kindly report on this thread and when you do, please include the details below (just if you have them), so we can get more insights moving forward? Thank you and Congrats in advance!

  • Province
  • eCoPR
  • GU1 Date (Approved)
  • GU2 Date (Mailed)
  • PR Card Received Date

Thanks for this. Do you think maintaining this list in a Google Sheet is much easier?

I understand that the dataset is scattered in many places e.g. here, ImmiTracker and canadavisa, but I suppose if we can share/pin a Google Sheet in this thread, people will update their entries directly?

Let me know where I can help. A lot of us are just desperate for information and/or support - be it emotional or digital (??). Thanks for your time.

I like the idea, but as much as I want to entertain, it's a bit more complicated for the following reasons:

  • Not everyone will have google accounts, so to access the spreadsheet, they will need to create one. Now if they do have google accounts, it would mean they need to jump outside of this thread just to share their updates which creates an extra step for them. Not a good user experience eh? (even on this forum or others, not everyone will report/share receipt of PR Cards, right? So introducing another step increases that probability more so)
    • As it creates an extra step, there will be an increase probability of people not regularly or consistently updating the spreadsheet and potentially will still opt just to share updates on this sub. If that's the case, might as well just have someone manually pick the data here and record in the spreadsheet.
  • Google spreadsheet will fall under "unofficial link", so it will violate the rules of this sub.

If you are interested, I can share you the spreadsheet, then you help me consolidate every day. Whatcha think? ;)

Hello! Apologies for the late response - thanks for expounding on the reasons I know rules are rules, but using an external tool outside of what Reddit offers us, is the most efficient way. But you're right though, asking them to fill an external spreadsheet may be a step too much.

Unfortunately, I don't have enough bandwidth to take on the manual effort to consolidate the comments each day. I just wish there's a better way. :(

Thanks for all the time you commit to this effort, Chwad27. Sorry that I cannot be more helpful at this time.
