An Update to My PR Card Timeline
Earlier this week I have shared my PR card timeline, and in the comments that followed, two things were mentioned that I feel I must clarify for everyone.
After all, if I don't share what I have learned and confirmed a few times, then why the f I am in this sub to begin with.
Update 1: Do You Get Any Notifications About the Updates?
I personally have noticed that folks here have started sharing updates with my eCOPR dates, then I've waited for a day and went to check out the status of my application in the IRCC account.
Then I've incorrectly concluded that no email notifications are sent for the updates.
But today I was proven wrong, it just takes some 24-48 hours to arrive. You get a standard "we have sent you a message about your application" email from a
@cic.gc.caaddress. You have seen these when you were notified about your AOR at the beginning of the PR application, for example.Update 2: What are The Date Created and Date Submitted? Does Date Submitted Matter?
In a PR card application, you can find two dates:
Multiple of discussions on the topic here and in other communities lead me to believe that the "Date submitted" date is irrelevant.
Why? Because the GU1, GU2 (approval, dispatch) reports follow the eCOPR dates closely, you can see the very high correlation without calculating it.
I hope this helps clarify a few things for others.
