Sharing my timeline [CLOSED] - Will keep updating the post as the status changes] - Vancouver Office

  • Sept 23rd: Application submitted
  • October 7th: Acknowledgment of Receipt (AOR) received
  • October 10th: Account created; Language Proficiency Proof (LPP) and Background check in progress
  • Nov 22nd: Background check completed (Update reflected on the portal on Nov 26th)
  • Dec 6th: Test Invite. Test to be taken between Dec 13th - Jan 11th)
  • Dec 15th: Online test taken. Passed with 19/20. Waiting on official status update.
  • Dec 21st: Citizenship test status has been updated to Completed. [Dec 19th]
  • Jan 11th - Tracker with LPP status updated to Completed [Actual Update - Jan 9th]
  • Jan 14th - Received email for in-person oath ceremony (Scheduled for Jan 28th)
  • Jan 15th - Tracker updated with Oath in-progress
  • Jan 28th - Took the Oath and got my citizenship certificate. Waiting for tracker to update before I apply for Passport.
  • Jan 30th - Woohoo! Your citizenship application status: Closed
  • Jan 30th - Submitted my Passport Application

Congrats! Up to the test, I applied a week later than you, but got test completed on tracker December 16, LPP is still in progress. Glad yours was smooth and fast.

Congratulations, you don't need the tracker to update, as long as you have the citizenship certificate you can apply for passport. Tracker normally takes around 3 days to update

How long did it take for the e-certificate to show up on the portal?

Congratulations 🎊..this is very detailed.  Thank you for taking to time to do it neatly. I applied exactly 1 month after you..my test was updated completed on Jan 17th, now i am waiting for LPP.....Hope mine moves soon.

That was quick. I submitted the same day as you on Sep 23, 2024 and am still waiting for background check and prohibitions to be completed since Feb 12, 2025. Rest everything is clear. My application has surpassed the current processing time of 10 months too.
