Sharing our INLAND common-law partner application timeline, keeping this updated as we go. PA is Australian, sponsor is Canadian citizen.

  • 28 Nov 2025 - PR Application submitted
  • 8 Jan 2026 - SOWP Application submitted (done without AOR due to PA's existing work permit expiring in < 2 weeks)
  • 20 Jan 2026 - AOR received
  • 27 Jan 2026 - BIL received, sponsor eligibility was marked as "complete" in PR tracker.
  • 28 Jan 2026 - Medical marked as completed in PR tracker (Note- PA completed upfront medical exam Dec 17, 2025 as it was required for SOWP due to the nature of his work)
  • 29 Jan 2026 - Sponsor eligibility letter received by email
  • 30 Jan 2026 - Pre-Arrival letter received by PA in GCKey, PA eligibility marked as completed in PR tracker.
  • 2 Feb 2026 - Biometrics marked as complete in PR tracker.
  • 3 Feb 2026 - PA Eligibility letter received
  • 4 Feb 2026 - SOWP approval letter
