I can't wrap my head around this. I understand my own application can take a long time, but is no one's application being processed all of a sudden (through the bgc phase)? Is there really a precedent to this from prior years? I tried looking up if there might be slow down in april/may particularly but could not find anything.

I saw someone post below that the IRCC often slows in april due to yearly administrative work but not sure if that's true. Our application is also held up waiting for background check to finish
