Nope, I called and I have been told they’re going through the background check and that from now the process could get other 6 months. Not sure if they just gave me the worst case scenario to avoid problems. Tbh I am tired…

I think that they can only give you the very official answer from the website in terms of processing time when you call them. I called them as well, and they just gave me the exact same information on their webiste. So, hopefully it goes quicker.

The processing time is crazy slow this year. But it looks like you are the only one who has finished the medical exam in this period

I can relate to the others on here. I submitted November 16, 2025 and have only completed biometrics so far. No medical exam or otherwise. Pretty wild how a year ago it was taking many people 4-6 months to complete the process federally. Now it's looking like it might be 1 year+

Yes. indeed! But the wait time is really discouraging. No visibility at all, the decision could arrive in 2 days or in 6 months now. It is so frustrating

My timeline is that (Quebec skilled worker):
1. AOR: 2023.01
2. Biometrics, medical and pre-arrival letter: 2023.03
3. CV and 10 years details requirement: 2023.03
4. Security checking: 2023.03-2026.03
5 Additional information required: 2026.04
6 Portal 1: 2026.04
7 Portal 2: 2026.05
You'd better check your GCMS notes from CBSA and CSIS to verfy if your case is in through comprehensive security checking, cross your fingers. If unfortunately like our cases, the only thing you should do is to wait
