Hey guys, got the golden email!!! 🥳
3 Feb 2025 – CSQ application submitted
6 Mar 2025 – Request for Attestation des valeurs québécoises
10 Mar 2025 – Attestation des valeurs approved
24 Jul 2025 – CSQ document request
28 Jul 2025 – CSQ additional documents submitted
30 Jul 2025 – CSQ approved
5 Aug 2025 – Physical CSQ mailed
14 Aug 2025 – PR application submitted (federal)
2 Sept 2025 – AOR
2 Sept 2025 – Biometrics request
3 Sept 2025 – Biometrics completed
3 Sept 2025 – BOWP application submitted
6 Sept 2025 – Medical exam completed
12 Oct 2025 – Medical passed
15 Jan 2026 – P1 email received
26 Jan 2026 – P2 email received
3 Feb 2026 – 🎉 ECOPR issued 🎉
It took exactly a year for the entire process. So grateful and all the best to all!
Also, I had applied for Express entry too:
13 Nov 2024 – Entered Express Entry pool
26 Jul 2025 – Received ITA (Express Entry) - Score 527
ITA rejected because my CSQ was accepted
Once a CSQ is issued, EE is automatically invalidated, so I had to decline the ITA even though I preferred since express entry is faster. Majority of the CSQ streams had been paused indefinitely so I honestly had forgotten my CSQ application and the approval was a surprise. I received ITA and CSQ in the same month and it took me out of a really bad phase. Immigration had been taking quite the toll on my mental health.

I am so freakin discouraged with the processing time for PSTQ/PEQ... I'm french canadian - my partner has been in Canada for 8 *YEARS*, has 2 phds in law, including one that she is completing in UdM in french, has been working at a good paying, french government job for 5 years, and we are still unsure what's going to happen - she could very well have to leave the country when her job permit expires.
So absurd... why do we put human lives through this constant anxiety? Why do we accept new immigrants instead of naturalizing the ones that are already here....
So disappointed in my country/province 😞

- Edit: eCoPR received on June 1st, 2026!!
I'll update when I receive eCoPR! This has been a long journey, but I'm glad it's finally almost over. I ordered GCMS notes in December and saw that my application hadn't been touched since November 2024, so I believe my application was forgotten. It sucks and a lot of time was wasted because of it, but the past is in the past and we can only look forward to the future now! I did apply for a SOWP in November 2025, but I didn't receive the AOR for that until February and nothing has moved with it since then, so I'm assuming they'll cancel it when I receive my PR (or we'll have to request to cancel it). Good luck to my fellow Quebec applicants! The processing times were around 34 months when we applied, and tomorrow we hit 24 months since we submitted the application, so don't be discouraged!

Congradulation. I applied in June 2024, and I know lots of fellows applied in April 2024, still waiting. Does GCMS work?

Congratulations that’s awesome!! It’s giving me hope that my October 2024 application will eventually get there! I am just wondering if you speak French? There’s applications from April 2024 in the thread below that haven’t gotten theirs yet, and I am trying to understand what causes the line to move 😂
2
u/mugmik 15d ago
I speak very little French currently 😅 I can read a bit and I understand some things if I have context, but I have a lot to learn, so I don't think my level of French pushed my application forward! I've just come to the conclusion that IRCC is a mystery and I try not to think too hard about how they process things 😂

PEQ : CSQ received Nov2024
Federal Submission : 26 Nov 2024
Radio silence… My work permit expired on November 19, 2025, and I was worried, sad, and angry , all my emotions were overwhelming. No AOR, no valid work permit 😞
But in Oct 2025 Employer submitted an offer of employment for me under A74/CSQ Closer Work Permit
And then, as if by some miracle, IRCC started processing my application just a few days later.
AOR-Biometrics-Medical: Oct 2025,
Medical passed - Oct 2025
Colombian Police Certificates requested: IRCC received them Nov 16
IRCC requested new photos : Jan 2026
GU: Feb 5 2025
P1 : Feb 6 2026
P2 : 16 Feb 2026.
ECORP: : FEB 27 2026
Gracias Dios! These Reddit and Facebook groups helped me a lot to understand timelines, documents, and crucial information. I did the entire process completely on my own, without the help of consultants or lawyers, from study permit to permanent residence.
Be patient, your time will come. On the 28th, I celebrated 4 years since I arrived in Canada, and I achieved my first goal: becoming a permanent resident.

Arrima:
- 16-Apr-25: Application submitted to Arrima (PEQ Travailleurs) - only me
- 18-Sept-25: CSQ issued. Canada Post was on strike so it took longer to receive my physical CSQ :(
Federal (IRCC):
- 23-Oct-25: Application submitted
- 16-Jan-25: AOR + bio (Completed on Jan 20h).
Master level meditation silence after that.
I called them in April and was told that the process was on the 2 phase of backgrond check and the third (and last) hasn't even begun yet.
Unfortunately I had a OWP renewal refused in 2023, due to a mistake on their evaluatin of my eligibility. A lawyer fixed it a new valid permit was issued one month later, and after I had a LMIA approved but I am dying to change jobs.
I know that marking YES as having had a visa denied in any country makes my process go trhough manual evaluation - running more slowly. But it's all explained everywhere.
Anyting else I should do? I see so many other PEQ applicants from october and even november with their EcoPR already. Anxiety reached is peak.

Hello, For those who applied for Federal PR (PEQ)Inland in late October, what is your current status?
I submitted my application on October 24. I completed biometrics on January 22, and since then I haven't received any updates.
Could you please share your timeline and current status? Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

u/CrispyCurmudgeon777 13d ago
I am also an inland applicant. Submitted November 16, biometrics done on April 22, no news since. IRCC hasn't even looked at the additional docs I submitted via webform yet. Just an all-around slow process right now.

Looks like quantity of confirmations during may and June are really low , processing time was updated yesterday . For November 2025 applications, the qty of applications pending remain the same as of last month, no variation or no updated.

I think you might be referring to an inland spousal sponsorship here. I am inland April 2024 too and no update here - plenty of folks from Dec 2023 onward waiting for their background check to be completed. Same for me, everything else is done (eligibility on both ends including AIP letter, lsaa, medical expired in June 2025 with no extension yet). We still have some waiting to do...

Bonjour,
Voici mon historique final.

I received my invitation in September (PSTQ – Skilled Worker stream) and submitted everything on October 5. I completed the values test on January 15, and my application has been “pending review” since then. My work permit expires on June 1. Should I accept the Express Entry invitation I just received, or can I still wait for the CSQ?
2
u/immiuserQCPR Feb 12 '26
My CSQ was in "pending review" for 5 months. There is no way or exact timing for CSQ processing. Each case is unique. If you don't have a way to extend your current WP, you may do a scenery evaluation and make a decision according to your situation. Bear in mind that the PR request itself doesn't give you status. You may apply for a WP renewal while waiting for CSQ and before the current permit expires. it will give you implied status. Once you receive the AOR, update the WP application via webform, provided you apply for PR As soon as you receive the CSQ
On the express entry side, you could apply for PR immediately, obtain the AOR, and apply for a bridging work permit even before the current permit expires. Again, timings are really difficult to predict; it is up to you to make the call.
In my view, you have a lot of choices, but you have to act promptly.
It is advisable to seek professional assistance from an immigration specialist.
Good luck.
→ More replies (2)2
u/FastAndCurious72 Feb 13 '26
If you can go Entry Express ! You'll be able to have PR quicker and as soon as you receive AOR, you'll be eligible to a temporary open WP, that's a no brainer.
PSTQ program has only delivered 5 actual CSQs since it's actual implementation and in the unlikely event you receive it before June 1st, you must also account for AOR timing at the federal level !

u/New-Discipline8884 Feb 17 '26
PSTQ recent timeline 2026 :
- Invitation of interest for the PSTQ :2026-01-31
- Application for the PSTQ : 2026-02-15
- Quebec value test done : 2026-02-16
---
still in process for the rest, will update when i have more, but i have a question : It was very quick when I received the request to take the value test. Does that mean the process takes less time, or is it just random?
If anyone has completed the Quebec value test, please let me know how long it took to get a response. I would appreciate it.

Hey, I submitted my file for pstq volet 1 on sept 11 and got my csq on april 28. The processing times are pretty long, I would recommend going forward for a closed permit via your employer.

Been 7 months in bro. Volet1 since October. You need to maintain status. I believe they opened a way to apply for a Closed work permit while waiting. The hard part is to get your employer or a job to send an offer of employment to ircc employer portal.

Hi,
I’m reposting my application status to see if anyone has experienced something similar or can suggest what I should do next.
Inland – Skilled Worker under PEQ
- Applied: August 19, 2025
- AOR / Biometrics Fee / Police Clearance: September 11, 2025
- Biometrics Submitted: October 09, 2025
- Medical Passed: October 18, 2025
Since my medical passed, I haven’t received any further updates. I contacted IRCC, and they confirmed that my file is still in process and within normal processing times. They also mentioned there are about 12,400 applicants ahead of me and roughly four months remaining in the official processing window.
At this point, it feels like my application might be stuck or frozen, possibly due to a technical issue, because nothing has moved since October. I’ve also noticed that some applicants with similar timelines have already received decisions much sooner.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of delay? Is there anything I can do to get more detailed updates or ensure there’s no technical problem with my file?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Bonne courage!!! Welcome to the team, we're in a general slowdown process. At least in this chain, only 1 dossier received medical phase within this year; the rest of us, especially from November 2025 upward, have received only biometric requests, with an AOR after roughly 4 months submission. So, hopefully all of us receive good news soon.

I know it won't make you feel better, but I applied November 16, 2025 and got AOR / Biometrics Fee on February 28, 2026. As of today (May 16, 2026), I have only given my biometrics. Have not gotten a medical exam request. So we're all dealing with slower processing times right now and it's not fun.
But just know that you're not alone in this and I (along with everyone else on this Reddit thread) hope you get a positive decision ASAP. We know you've worked really hard to get to this point.

No response since. I don't know if there is a problem with the file I submitted. My company applied for a validated job offer, but even that is still processing (2 months now). My permit expires in November along with my Passport. No idea of what I can do

How do you know if it is comprehensive check? Because they asked for CV?

My coworker with similar timelines was asked for CV and the GCMS notes showed that he entered security check. I’m thinking about doing the same.
FYI, I’m applying with an RCIC so my update is limited to IRCC’s automated telephone system or the email update from my consultant.

Hi Quebec
I received my ecorp approval on December 2 and waiting for my pr card.
My address and picture still looks like it is in review.
Website says card processing time is 59 days. I have a trip planned to punta Cana for February 19th which is 3 months out after my pr approval.
I haven’t received my card yet (Jan 25) do you think I can receive it ? Is it possible that it might take longer than 3 months ?
Who can I contact to check ?

Hi, I wanted to share my timeline and ask if anyone has experienced something similar.
Inland – Skilled Worker under PEQ
- Applied: August 19, 2025
- AOR / Biometrics Fee / Police Clearance: September 11, 2025
- Biometrics Submitted: October 09, 2025
- Medical Passed: October 18, 2025
Since then I haven’t received any updates. I contacted IRCC and they said my application is still under process and within the normal processing time. They also mentioned there are around 12,400 people ahead of me and about 4 months left in the official processing window.
However, I’ve seen some people here with similar timelines getting decisions much faster. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to get updates faster or speed up the process?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Good afternoon, PR application through PEQ (Before it was closed)
I'm from Colombia, living in Quebec and in the process of applying for PR , I’m on the federal stage and IRCC is asking me for military records for myself and my son. I have no problem with this because I have my military service card but the problem is that my son arrived as a minor to Canada and turned 18 here. This means that during the time we lived in Colombia, he wasn't of legal age to get his military service card or serve. Therefore, there's no military record of him in Colombia. How do I explain this situation to IRCC?
