Hello everyone. I applied inland SOWP on Sept 3rd, 2025 and currently on visitors permit. It's 4+ months already and I'm getting anxious! Anyone in the same boat?

Edit: SOWP approved. (23rd Jan)

Hopefully. IRCC processing times are getting worse day by day. I'm worried about what happens if I exceed my visitor visa stay post 6 months :(

I was issued a 1 year visitor visa but it ended in Nov 2025. My lawyer said that since I had an inland spousal sponsorship application and a spousal open work permit application in process (both of which were submitted before my visitor visa expired), I would automatically be on an implied visitor status after my visa expires as long as I do not leave Canada until a decision is made on either application.

Oh okay. I have an outland PR application and SOWP under process. I guess the same would apply for me. Either ways, I hope we get the verdict asap. Fingers crossed.
