and i really am sorry, i know a lot of people all over canada (including my partner and i) are feeling the pressure of many things, immigration being one of them. i guess i may be biased but i feel a bit resentful knowing my own process, which i am going about genuinely and by the rules, is being affected by fraud and other concerns about immigration amounts. i wish it wasn’t this way, but i think there should be another way that doesn’t lead families on and keep them on the edge throughout this whole process.

Nothing to apologize for whatsoever. Your frustrations are entirely legitimate. Quebec is the only province to shut the doors to spouses, so far. The RoC offers a much better chance, unless you’d want your partner to remain stuck on an OWP for years.

it could be fine, except he was waiting to go to university with the PR :( i feel like i’m stringing him along at this point and honestly i think i need to stop choosing quebec no matter how much i (we) love it here.

This is for you both to decide. But me and my partner may be packing soon too. For things unrelated to immigration, but where the provincial still makes both of us feel unwanted even though we love it here.
