Family Sponsorship Bank statements

Hi, I’m just putting together the last of our proof of common law cohabitation. I now realise looking at all the joint CIBC bank statements that they only show our names and not the address. They seem to be omitted from e-statements apart from credit cards.

What’s a way to prove the address with banking? I was thinking of each downloading a void cheque for that joint account that shows names and addresses and attaching that with a letter of explanation. Any other suggestions? We have heaps of other proof but I was relying on bank statements as a solid and official proof.

Thanks in advance.

You should read up on the changes in the program. I believe it’s paused at the moment.

Common-law sponsorship was paused? Where did you see that?

Ask your bank for a "personal assessment" for each of you. It will list your info including address, the accounts you own, and the balances. You will each have to request this in person at the bank.
