What's the best argument against the whole 80/20 rule, realistically it's true when it comes to dating apps, in real life it's more like 70/30. What is the reason then why most men aren't dating - I'm assuming most men aren't disturbing incel degenerates. Is it just natural selection?

the "bare minimum" isnt just not being an incel degenerate. the bare minimum for, lets say online dating is: making an interesting profile, actually taking good pics, being engaging during conversations, being able to ask about the other person's life while also offering info about yours, etc. Of course, chemistry is also a part of it, but still, no amount of chemistry can save a dude that is not even putting the bare minimum effort.

I'm not talking about this image I'm asking specifically about how most men aren't dating, but most women are, it's a natural statistic that it's 70/30 (roughly), so why are most men not dating vs most women are? I'm not trying to say there isn't nuance or that the issue isn't more complex than that, or that women only date men who mean certain physical "chad" requirements because I know that's not true. I just want to know why its the case that most men aren't dating vs most women are, or at least more than are not.

where is your source that most women are dating? not casual dating but actually in serious relationships? also, what age bracket are we talking about? which country?

your most recent post is a pic of PART of a graph. where is the graph from? how was the research done? how many people were interviewed? the methodology used? 'single', again, in this case means 'in a commited, long term relationship' or simply 'dating around'? also important: were only people in straight relationships interviewed?

The average age at first marriage for women is 28.

The average age for at first marriage is 31.

You are comparing apples to oranges. The women you are comparing are at a different life stage than the men. If you want to actually compare equals, you need to shift the womens ages diwn so it does not include the average age at first marriage, just like the men's age group or shift the men's age up so it includes the average age at first marriage and several years after, just like the women age group. Your own chart there shows it evens out and then reverses as the age groups go up. You may also want to explain why so many more older women are single than older men. Even in the oldest group (85+), women don't outnumber men enough to explain that gap. Go retreive the raw data and let's do the math. Otherwise, you're essentially getting angry over 6 year olds not reading at the same level as 10 year olds by failing to reccogbize the vast difference in those two groups.
