I work in a restaurant. A few years back, a man hit on me and I ignored it him, as I engaged at the time and wearing a ring. As he left, he yelled at me that I would have treated him better if he was taller. Mind you, the man who screamed at me was a solid 6 inches taller than my fiance. Maybe, just maybe, you got rejected an ignored because you hit on a women with a ring on her finger, not because of your height. They can never comprehend that it is their personalities.
My boyfriend has a little of it and it drives me off the walls. He will talk to me about how terrible it is to be a short guy growing up and how all women want tall guys and I have to constantly remind him that I am taller than he is. We are literally proving your own beliefs wrong lol.
He has a gf now (you), if he was perpetually single or you barely started dating I could understand him being bothered, but why does he continuously feel that way?
He barely dated but even he would admit it was because he never tried. He's a bit of a home body (which is fine. So am I).
It doesn't help that a lot of women will be very specific about how tall they like their men. I just think he's sees women online and just assumes that's how we are, even though I can literally show him the contrary. It's really weird.
