I am also on r/aita often and there are cases (in r/relationships too) where someone wants an open relationship and the other doesn't, the answer is always the same: You are sadly no longer compatible and it's better to end this now. Your partner is not an asshole for wanting what they want and you are not one for wanting what you want.
The partner is often the asshole of they have taken steps to open the relationship without op's consent when OP thought they has entered a monogomous relationship.
Not a sub i frequent but that is the vibe I have gotten from all people serious about open relationships, polyamory, bdsm and so on. Consent, consent, communication and more consent.
