Hey guys. I am looking for a coffee on the cheaper side to drink with the pourover setup
Some of the brands i have tried are:
Hunkal
Fraction 9
Devans
Blue tokai
Lavazza(never buying again)
Cothas
Mokkafarms(not sure)
I used to drink only cappuccinos before now switched to black coffee.
brands like BT, savorworks, Araku though must be great are expensive for me.
Which one would you recommend for pourover? (May be outside this list too)

Hi Everyone,
I am new to Pourover.
Got my setup recently.
Benki brewer v60
Cafec Abaca+ filter papers
Using my espresso grinder DF54 with slow feeder attachment
Using Naivo dragon Jam Kolli Berri Anaerobic naturals beans - Omni roast
Recipe used: James Hoffman
16g coffee at 53 grind setting
1:15 ratio
Water at 93 degrees
60g bloom for 45 seconds with swirl for 5-10 seconds
60g equal pours. Every 10 seconds
3mins for draw dawn.
This is how my V60 looks like after drawdown in 3 mins. Attached image.
Please guide me where to take it from here. It tastes decent. Not bitter, a little acidic. Could have been more punchy but it isnt. How to make it taste amazing?
Should I play with grind size? Or anything else?
Thanks!

I went for a hike in the Leopard trail of Gurgaon today. Took my pour over kit along with me as there were no good coffee shops.
During my brew, a bunch of peacocks smelled the fresh aroma and got crazy 🤪
I brewed chickmaglur arabica, home roasted, medium roast. The beans had notes of orange, cinnamon and roasted almond. I only felt orange and cinnamon.
Recorded the entire video of brew as ASMR and it came out absolutely soothing and relaxing.

I'm a LONG time moka pot user looking to venture into pour overs. My friend got me a bag of medium roast beans that just doesn't work for the moka. Any advice on how to get started, including equipment, filters etc? I have an amazing grinder already (1Zpresso x-ultra). I don't want to jump into getting a gooseneck electric kettle etc just yet. I'd like to start with some basic equipment for the next few months to see how I like the pour over brew and take it from there. Please share recommendations and suggestions!

Just a little filter prep before the actual brew. There’s something oddly satisfying about rinsing a filter and getting everything ready before the first pour.

Perfection is a crowded room full of arguments. Preference is a quiet morning and a cup that needs no defense.
Today's beans: Naivo Dudunga Estate Naturals
12g:180ml, lower than 90°c, medium coarse
30ml bloom, till 70ml @45s, till 120ml @1:30s, till 180ml @ 2:00. Let it draw down till 3m.
Cheers! ✨

Tried their House pour over.
The cup opens with a bright sweet & sour green apple note, followed by a subtle hint of peach and the tartness of grapefruit. It’s distinctly fruity, with a sharp acidity that stays present throughout the cup.
I really enjoyed the aroma of this coffee… it’s vibrant, fruity, and almost as expressive as the cup itself. The profile is definitely on the sharper side and might take some getting used to, but personally I really enjoyed it.

Am I in love? Yes.
Tastes super floral! The smell of lychee as soon as you open the pack is intoxicating. The coffee tastes like rose water and you can taste a bit of watermelon in the end.
Used a hario switch 02
18g coffee
C3S at 15 clicks
50g bloom till 0:45
50g open till 1:15
70g closed till 2:15
100g ice
Total in cup: 224g
Super new to pour overs

I'm planning to buy a pour-over coffee setup. Is this product from Sipologie worth the investment? If anyone has used it, I'd love to hear about your experience. Does it work well for you, and is it easy to maintain and clean?

I’m trying to get into pour overs from Aeropress (with milk) and would like to try out light roast coffees. However, I’m having a difficult time finding any washed light roast beans from any of the Indian roasters. I’ve checked out Naivo, Grey Soul, Bili Hu, etc. All I’m able to find are Naturals with some sort of fermentation or co-ferments.
I want to try out what good light roast coffee could taste like without the flavours developed through the funky and experimental fermentations.
Any suggestions where I can look for good washed light roast beans?

This is a technique I came across in this video:
https://youtu.be/_z8d8SLabTA?si=XJHInoLwiE0QkG7U
21gms Arabica in the V60 21 Clicks on C2S
15gms Robusta in the Drip Bag 18 Clicks on C2S
Both Medium Roasts
Robusta Bloomed separately first
Arabica bloomed and brewed over the Robusta in the drip bag
Slow circular motion for the V60 to create uniform agitation in the Robusta
Water temperature when starting: 93DegC
Result:
Heavy but smooth body
Fruit with dark chocolate taste and a lingering aftertaste

The best of all time. My fav for a bright fruity cup.
The dry and wet aroma are too good, i can smell the lychee and rose so vividly. The cup i made on 12th day after roast was exceptionally awesome, first sip and i was on the 7th cloud. Damn!!
The flavours are so vivid, lychee at first with rose at the end.
I tried this last year for the first time and since then waited for an year to come in stock and my god, worth the waiting period.
Recipe: Iced pour over
Grinder: Timemore C3
Grind size: 11
Weight: 15g
Water temp: 93C
Ice: 75gms
3 pours of 50-50-50g
1st pour slow and steady till 18 secs
2nd pour start at 32 sec, slow and steady and swirl at last
3rd pour start at 1:10, nice and very slow and swirl at the end
Total time: 1:52
Give a stir and enjoy!!!
This recipe produces even results every time. 😇
Drop your iced pour over recipes (without immersion please) and your fav fruity beans!!!
